I got a few emails asking what hardware I was using. The list is below. The dock has an HDMI out - so that goes to monitor1. I then use one of the docks usb3 ports with the Inland HDMI Adpater to go to monitor2.

One of my friends just picked up this as a secondary display. Seems to be a great monitor for the price, but it only has HDMI and VGA.

The Acer ET241Y would suit your needs. An IPS display will have good colors and viewing angles, but sacrifices some slight input lag which will not be noticeable for your use case.
