That has to be an error on that website. As far as I know, no Helios 300 exists at that price point with those specs. The one that they link to at the bottom of the page (for $1200) has 16GB of RAM and has an RTX 1660 Ti.

The closest model I could find on Amazon is $1,700 and it is the Triton 500. According to Acer's website, they do offer those specs as options for the Helios 300 but I couldn't find anything on Amazon (though to be honest, I didn't look all that hard) and I would imagine it would be more than $1200 and closer to $1700 (though I would love to be proven wrong because $1200 is my current budget!)

Try the Acer Predator Triton 500 or it's MSI twin, GS65 Stealth. The Razer Blade 15 is also a good option if you're willing to get the slightly lower 1660ti model for the same amount of money. Other options include the Lenovo Legion Y740 but this one has worse battery life due to the smaller battery and some from Asus ROG such as the Strix models or the Zephyrus models. With that much budget, there are lots of laptops to pick from. Triton 500 still remains my highest recommendation or Blade 15 if you want a sleek and stealthy design.

Since you don't want Eluktronics or the Acer Predator Helios 300 then I think this is your best option

Not sure exactly what you had in mind, but this is pretty good bang for your buck after taking all the specs into consideration.

what's your opinion on Triton 500 17 9th gen vs Helios 300 17 9th gen. I am new to the gaming laptops arena. i know the helios 9th gen launched this year, what about the Triton, is it a new release too?

I don't game, i am taking a gaming laptop for some heavy CS stuff.

Also, it's a bit unusual, the Triton 500 doesn't have any reviews at all. linking both below.

Ok, so Im not quite sure where you are that the Helios 300 models are so expensive, but heres one that goes for 1200usd. Its basically number 3 with a 144hz display. https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-9750H-Keyboard-PH315-52-78VL/dp/B07QXLFLXT

But at your pricerange, the trition 500 may be a better option, its significantly thinner and more portable than the helios, and has all the specs that you wanted, starting at a 2060 model. They usually go for around 1700usd, but Im not sure what itll go for where you are, considering the prices of the helios models listed above. Heres a link to that laptop: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-9750H-Keyboard-PT515-51-75BH/dp/B07QVM5Z5H/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=trition+500&qid=1567003218&s=electronics&sr=1-1

And yes, 144hz is a big deal, especially for FPS games. Its actually really jarring when I switch from my desktops 144hz 1440p display to my laptops 1080p 60hz panel. I cant play FPS titles at a reasonable level anymore when I am on a 60hz panel.

Edit: Heres a link to all the helios models, with full spec lists to help you find what you want:
