This is on my short list for a modest Steam storage drive on my old PC... that or the $50 SU655/650 / $45 SU635/630 which are known dram-less and TLC or QLC, respectively.

I just got all the parts for this. It was about $50 for the pi4 4gb and about $50 for the SSD.

And if you're absolutely crunched for budget, the SU635 exists for 60$ no tax, and has SLC cache, which theoretically makes it better than the A400 still.

but if you just go to your online vendor of choice and search “500gb ssd” you’ll see many more in this price category. also checkout /r/BuildAPCSales where i see these go as low as $40 flat frequently. even the 1tb versions are dropping into the $60-70 range occasionally
Spend $20 more and double your storage incase you decide you want some larger games. 480gb ssd
Also the 2600x is the same price as the 2600 rn. It’s from Newegg on eBay so it’s reputable.
