I'd recommend going with a modest inverter then, just cause running something at half-capacity or less will make it last longer, and plus if you ever want to run a microwave or something to reheat a meal, the capability's there. Also, it's not that much extra cash realistically in the grand scheme of things.

It's been a good one for a few years so far. :) Even survived the great onslaught of ants early last year!
(They apparently like the 60Hz frequency... not of just this inverter, literally any AC power system... made their bed inside the thing... advice, put ant poison around your equipment. Like, those ant trap bait things. It'll help. :)
My one complaint about this inverter is that I wish the charger was bigger / faster. Probably won't be so much an issue for you, especially if you're using standard lead acid batteries and don't have a lot of loads. The charger is 30 Amps, which is great actually for most people. I'm just spoiled and want my batteries to charge from empty to like 95% in 2 hours. (I'm using lithium though. 1C charge rate in my case would be 'normal'. I'm actually charging them incredibly slowly for what they are.)
