Actually, the climb information I listed was from Alaska Climbing from Super Topo. So, yes, it came from an "information packet", called a book. Which I studied before and after the trip, so I was prepared. I also consulted with people on these subs for information, and studied whatever I could find online. Not sure if this is "beta" enough, but I gathered as much information as I could.

Yes, I paid for somebody with experience to guide me up the mountain. I did so to ensure that I had a safe trip, and that my time was well spent. Isn't the point of climbing in general to do it safe and fun? At what point would it be okay for be to be a member of this exclusive club you belong too? Do I have to lead on an 17,000 ft peak with a daypack in order to be an alpinist?

This type of elitist attitude is what turns some people away from climbing. How I choose to get my experience shouldn't prevent me from sharing that experience with other people. Obviously some people found my experience interesting.

Besides, where are all your contributions to this sub if you are so keen on it having "beta" and information for alpinists. Contribute, I'm actually very interested in your experience as a two man team on Denali.
