Here is a basic one for 14$. It will support all monitor and injection mode, it's still still pretty good for a basic wifi adapter.

Panda 300Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter

But if you to go to the top notch level and get the best of best wifi adapters. I suggest go with this one. It's super powerful with the fast Atheros chip, supports all the necessary modes, and it's still not an outrageous price.

This isn't really anything special, you can do the same with off the shelf gear. The distance you can reach isn't going to be hundreds of KM, but instead closer to a max of 22-28KM if you have both the sending station and recieving station using the same gear. But even then you'll have to have non-moving line of sight, and it'll have to be off the ground about 15-30 feet depending on distance to avoid terrain interference (fresnel zone). You could just purchase these two things to essentially accomplish the same thing:

Wifi adapter

This one will work but it's a bit pricey: https://www.amazon.com/Alfa-AWUS036NHA-High-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B004YD7UBQ

I know that Hak5 recently started selling their brand of cards but I'm not sure how much those cost. You can also check out Hacker Warehouse and see if they're selling the original version of the TP-Link.

If you have done enough research, aircrack is the go to. Make sure you have an external wifi card that is capable of injection.
You can find that here: http://www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=compatibility_drivers.
The most common are the alfa cards like the alfa awus036nha or whatever.
You can probably find one for cheaper, but heres one that i use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004YD7UBQ/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_c1nvub02KE5SR.
But of course you would know that after some basic research, right?? :)

The one you linked is only capable of 802.11 b/g, you should really get the b/g/n version. I have it, it works great.
