I have actually struggled with the exact same question for very long. I've always needed time alone but felt like crap when I actually did spend time alone.

I think part of the problem is that we often think of being alone in a negative way due to the social stigma solitude carries. But remember: the truth is that spending time alone is important for personal growth and success in life. You must always remember this.

Some of the most brilliant minds in history have spend major amounts of time alone. When you’re alone, you can go at your own pace, think for yourself, discover new things, and improve your self-esteem. You will benefit from this when you spend time with others as well.

Although you may fear being alone, to overcome your negative connotations to the concept, all you must do is learn productive ways to benefit from solitude.
