They last longer than Duracell or Energizer, and they cost about $3 each, but there are cheaper clones and some newer ones with even more capacity.

Good rechargeable batteries are definitely the better option. Usable in multiple devices and last longer.

The Amazon Basics rechargeables are supposed to be reskinned Eneloops at a much better price. I own both and can't tell much difference. Any battery charger will pretty much do the trick, but I don't like going cheap when it comes to the charger; don't want to ruin your batteries or burn your house down. I bit the bullet and bought an intelligent charger so I can charge fast and get useful information about the batteries as I charge them.

Note the Ikea branded batteries are also supposed to be reskinned Eneloops, but I noticed they are harder to get in and out of the 360 controllers compared to others. They are my favorites but I avoid using them in my 360 because of the issue.

If you're just after the cells the Amazon Basic High Capacity cells (make sure you're buying the silver cells the white and black I'm unsure about) are some of the best (they're just Eneloops), if you want the charger as well it might be worth hanging on to those gift cards and popping down to Ikea instead as you can get a 4 pack of Ladda batteries (again just Eneloops) and a charger (though only 2 cells at a time from USB) for $9.98 which I don't think is possible to beat.

The v860ii and tt685 are identical in every way but power source, and a tt685 has the same recycle time (if not faster) as a v860ii with NIMH rechargeable batteries.

I would get a tt685 and a set of Amazon NIMH batteries: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-High-Capacity-Rechargeable-Batteries-Pre-charged/dp/B00HZV9TGS/

This should cost less than a v860ii while being lighter and equally as powerful. The only loss is total flashes per battery set.

Yikes, Amazon only charges me $10 here in the US for those Powerex batteries. I don't know if the duracells are worth it either(never used them), but if they're like the Amazon Basics high capacity batteries, they'd probably be better bang for the buck. For reference, they seem to be slightly better than the OEM batteries that come with the box.

These are the batteries I use:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HZV9TGS/

They are NIMH. I have some old Eneloops as well. Will try those and check. Thanks.

They changed their colors. The "normal" option are now black: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CWNMR5Y/

I can confirm this because it's the same item number I bought in the past that were white. The high capacity ones are now grey.

I'm not sure if they've upgraded the underlying cell or just repackaged them.

AmazonBasics AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack) Pre-charged - Packaging May Vary https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HZV9TGS/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_Mbmlyb6D4B802

These are a little cheaper, same type of battery

This^^ With a few exceptions the NiMh batteries are going to be awesome.

The AmazonBasics High capacity AA rechargables have good ratings and are considered high quality. Random engineer dude on the internet likes this smart charger

Glad to help - the box shorts out the battery as part of how it works, so it does weaken the batteries over time. The panasonic XX batteries should be easy to find at bestbuy etc (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/panasonic-eneloop-pro-rechargeable-aaa-batteries-4-pack-black/5467047.p?skuId=5467047 ) but i'd reccomend the amazon ones over them just on cost : https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-High-Capacity-Rechargeable-Batteries-Pre-charged/dp/B00HZV9TGS?th=1

all you have to do with either is peel the outer sticker off around them. I use a knife point to get under and peel it off. I hear wd-40 and a rag gets any stickiness off really quick.. and then you're good to go! and they work with the existing charger.

What is the consensus on using rechargeable AA batteries for my Galaxy AS-900 IEM system? I'm new to the whole IEM thing. The batteries I'm using are these.

I play in a cover band where I'm using the IEMs for about 3 - 3.5 hours every gig.

A good substitute for Eneloops is the AmazonBasics AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries.

Don't forget to buy a charger too. :D

u/sgtkickarse · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

What always ends up happening is that your wireless controller turns into a wired controller because you can't (won't) change the internal rechargeable. Never heard of enloop batteries before but I am going to order those too :D

edit: these look pretty good too

second these. These are amazing and the charger is nice. Since buying this I have started getting the amazon basic ones that have more capacity.
