List:

Bookbag - It always changes brands but this is the layout. It held up for over a year of High school abuse for what it's worth. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S6LWPS6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_U8IDDbA3M3JDJ )

Anker Portable Charger - Yes it has a lot of stickers. It doesn't have USB Type C, but it lasts me well over a week for casual charges on the headphones and some friends' phones. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JIWQPMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_IbJDDbA3Z070Z )

Breath Mints - Because speeches and girlfriends are a thing. (To clarify I have one girlfriend and multiple speeches)

Calculator - AP Calc is a jerk, but this helps. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00001N2QU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ocJDDb5R4KNS5 )

Laptop Behind Things - This was provided by my school for certain classes, and it's not too bad for the price. The charge lasts well over a day. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DBGVB7K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6cJDDbBPSRRYF )

Charging cord - This is fairly new to me, but works just as you'd imagine. It allows quick charging which is a plus. I also recommend Chafon charging multicables. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V8G85DY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_seJDDb9Z4CY8F )

Red Cards - If I need to write a note to a friend, these come in handy and are more useful than Field Notes (come at me bois) for my daily use. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001AMO8A0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ffJDDbZFZZXEJ )

Fancy Cards - Honestly, any Theory 11 deck is fancy, good for magic which I like, and convenient for playing a normal card game with friends. I switch this out with other cards pretty regularly, but I always carry a full deck. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JMNSXRB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_SfJDDbC1EHH8Q )

Wireless Earbuds - They are dated so they aren't the best anymore, but they are still kicking. They connect to my phone and laptop whenever necessary. There are alternatives but they aren't bad for the price IMO. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07582VVJR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_vgJDDb83TT6MF )

"Flippy Knife" - Ever since I bought this, I haven't been able to set it down for more than a day. It's all plastic, and I only use it in classes where the teachers don't mind. (Side note to anybody who has one of these; twist rubber bands up and place them in the handles near the end to make it quieter and slightly heavier) ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CRMRJ2K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_4gJDDbPXHPXRF )

Not Listed - A calculus textbook, some folders, notebooks, pens, a spare FSP Bullet cartridge, pencils, a jacket in the bottom because weather, and a scrunched up gym bag in case a friend's bag breaks or I need more room than my bag allows.

I don't use my locker so I rely pretty heavily on this stuff. It's not for everyone, but hey. If anybody has any questions on the gear or any suggestions, feel free to comment. Thanks for taking the time to check out my post!

Why are you wanting hand crank? Honestly I would just use a small solar panel and then a power bank.

I use these 2 together. When I am not charging anything else both USB can charge the power bank. I have used these on backpacking trips.

Reality is stranger than fiction.

"Plug in two micro-USB cables to charge our power bank twice as fast!" as opposed to "we implemented high-power USB-PD properly so you can use a high-speed USB-C power adapter to charge this even faster!"

Here's my fav but they recently released an upgraded model with 3 USB ports, I think it's $10 more.

Edit: My boyfriend has this one. It's more compact but has a little more than half of the power of the one I have.

And here is their newer upgraded model.

Let me change your life....

http://myvolts.com

MyVolts is a company that makes USB power cables for gear ranging from 5v-18v. You can then pair this with a battery bank. I use the 20000mAh Anker power bank and the 50000mAh Krisdonia bank. Whatever bank you use, make sure they output at least 2A from their USB ports. Both are available on Amazon.

This allows me to power everything from Volkas to Elektron gear, whatever I want to take on the go with me. I buy one of these to keep with every new device I add to my studio. Honestly, I hate digging out wires once I put something in place in my studio so I leave the power supply that comes with my device in place and rely on ripcords and USB power blocks or power banks when I take gear out on the road. But that’s just me. I’m a bit extra and label both ends of every cable I own and route everything in my studio through patchbays. Anyhow, on to the links....

The cables are called “ripcords”
http://myvolts.com/Ripcord

Here’s the Krisdonia power bank I mentioned (won’t pass TSA because it’s too large of a capacity)

The WIDMOvr lenses are not prescription lenses. The plano version are just protectors so the lenses on the Quest do not get scratched. I purchased the Mamut Touch Grip after finding out they fit the Quest. I had previously wanted them for my Rift but just forgot about them until a few days ago.

u/TerrapotomusP67 · 7 pointsr/pics

Here's the newer version of the 26800mAh one I have. 3 power IQ ports for which despite Anker's disclaimer does seem to work with quickcharge 3.0 and does full 12W delivery over lightning to iOS devices. 2 charging ports which should considerably cut down charge time (my old one has only one and takes ~9-10 hours to charge from fully dead using a an IQ 2.0 charging brick). Also, this seems to be just below the FAA limit of 100Wh so at least in the US you shouldn't have any issues. I have heard of them being denied in China so make sure to check local restrictions. I like my old one since it has a metal housing and I'm abusive to my belongings but as long as you're not me the new one should hold up decently. 20100mAh one also exists that's ~$25 cheaper.

exactly. These are so small, they probably won't charge your phone more than 75%. And with 10 of at 1700 mAh each, them that's a ton of space for only 17,000 mAh. I have a camp battery and an inside the festival battery to stay charged. These are the ones I use:

u/issue9mm · 4 pointsr/camping

I use this for camping. It's a super-dense battery, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for backpacking unless you have weight to spare, but it works great.

I've had mine sitting for up to 6 months without losing more than 1% charge (e.g., from 100% down to 99%), recharges my phone from powered-off-because-empty to full in about an hour and a half, and it recharges my Nexus 5x about 6 and a half times.

The only downside to it is that it charges itself quite slowly, so it's not something you can plug into a car outlet and leave running for an hour to top off to full. Takes more like 12 hours or so to charge. I can't say for certain, because I've never had the patience to sit around and watch it.

u/HIM_Darling · 4 pointsr/TropicalWeather

I have an Anker, last years version of this model. I actually paid more for the one I have than the current price, so it's a great deal. Plus it's prime so you should get it in plenty of time.

This things I didn't think I'd need until I tried them:

  1. Far-reaching gym membership. May it be LA Fitness, Equinox, ClassPass, or HealthWorks, it's nice to have an actual gym.
  2. External Battery. I have this one, and it's currently on sale. It's big, it's heavy, but carries a solid charge. Has three ports.
  3. Multi-port chargers. Make life easier on the road, and when your client stations you in a conference rooms, they come in handy (for you and your team). I can recommend: Directly into the wall or with an extension cord. Note: I don't have a love for Anker, particularly, but they were all on sale for prime day one year, so I got everything Anker. And their customer service is really solid.
  4. iPad.
  5. Noise Cancelling headphones. My go-tos are Bose QC35, but the Momentums and QC30s are pretty awesome too.
  6. Houseshoes. Judge me, but I love my faux-fur lined $5 slippers from Kohl's. On longhaul flights, I'll get changed into sweats, and slippers. I get weird looks, but I've been told it's actually halfway smart. And it makes hotels feel just a little bit more homey.
  7. Long phone/ipad chargers. Like the 2.0m ones. Yeah, absolute game changer to me.
  8. Travel wallet. I like keeping everything in one place, so I can grab-and-go. It rarely gets switched up, it has all my membership cards for airlines and hotels in it. Tickets and printouts and all go in there as well.
  9. 4-wheel carry on. I know there's been some discussion about dimensions vs. utility, but I think the 4-wheelers are easier to move and navigate with. Maybe it's because the majority of the weight somewhat stays on the wheels, or that if I want to schlep it like a 2 wheeler, I can, I dunno, I prefer them.
  10. Medications and Vitamins. I'm on a regular vitamin regimen, and when I travel I check for allergies in the places I'm going to, just in case. Especially with some allergy meds you'll have to start taking them a few days before you go.

u/wack_attack04 · 3 pointsr/FireflyFestival

I use multiple power banks so there's always something available. The MaxOak was purchased in 2016 so there may be a newer model available. It has been really good for a laptop though. The 26800 might work for your purposes. The small Ankers charge quickly and pack a surprisingly good punch.

Evecase 5.6 x 5.6 x 3.5 inch Camera Bag.
Chose this after trying too long to find a 3DS bag that didn't have horrible straps. $16 with Prime

Anker USB 3.0 4* USB tap.
Obviously, you need to have more than 1 USB port to do much, like using a mouse with a usb drive.
$9 with Prime.

Cable Matters Mini HDMI male to HDMI Female cable 2 pack.
Minor shaving required. Not tested extensively.
$10 with Prime.

Lexar USB 3.0 Micro SD Card Reader
If you want to use a ferry card or temporarily pop your card of choice into a computer, one of these is incredibly helpful. Plus it's tiny. You can probably get one cheaper if you don't want the 32GB card included.
$33 with Prime.

Standard XBOne Controller.
Works without any need to mess with dongles on Windows 10. It'll even work with headphones/sets.
$35-$50ish, depending on color and luck.

Venom Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Twin Pack.
I don't recommend these in particular, but a rechargeable pack is a must if you don't want to guzzle batteries.
$17 with Prime.

Logitech Wireless Mouse M185.
Pretty reliable, but only has the standard 2 mouse buttons plus tilting and clicking mousewheel. Receiver stores inside nicely.
$13 with Prime.

Kid Icarus Folding 3DS Stand That I Had In A Box.
Needs a little rubber bumper to help secure the Win properly.
$10 with Prime.

Perrix Asymetrical Folding Keyboard.
This one might be tough to find, but it works amazingly. The weird fold system pushes the main hinge off to the side, so it is less likely to fold the moment you put it on your lap. It also completely hides the hinge when the keyboard is unfolded. A bit cramped, but the keys are properly clicky laptop keys.
For image and model reference

Anker PowerCore 26800 Portable Charger*
While looking for my power pack, I found this one. Seems to be a flat upgrade. 26800mAh with 3
4.8A output USB ports. Also has 2 micro usb inputs for double the charge speed?
$59.99 with Prime.

Other possible pack-ins.

Bluetooth Numpads.
If you're primarily going to be gaming, you might want to drop the full keyboard in favor of a bit of space plus one of these. Works nicely with a mouse if you rebind with HIDMacros. Also more tiny airport/college desk friendly. Example unit is $30

Similarly, you might want to try a half controller + mouse option using a device like the
Nintendo Joy-Con's left unit. Drivers are still being worked on though, so only get this if you're up for beta troubles.
$50ish, but you can get lucky on eBay.

SanDisk Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive.
The one in all the Win lists I've seen, but I figured I'd list it here for convenience.
$45 with Prime.

Batteries
All this stuff takes a total of 3 AAA (2 for the keyboard, 1 for the numpad) and 1 AA battery that will need replacing eventually. I hesitate to recommend rechargeable ones, as I have yet to find a micro charger for them.

Inateck USB 3.0 Ethernet + 3 USB 3.0 port adapter.
You might want to replace the 4 port one with one like this if you plan to do network maintenance, secure data transfer, or just plain download things quickly.

$20 with Prime.

PS4 Controller.
Some people prefer this to the XBOne one. It's lighter in the hand (and bag), comes with a built in rechargeable battery with absurd life, and has a touchpad with 4 physical buttons underneath. Can do some pretty crazy things with the touchpad via Steam's controller customization, but has weaker compatibility with non-Steam applications. Also works with PS4 Remote Play.
Worth noting that, unlike the ps3 controller, this can charge directly from any micro usb power supply. Headset support seems to require the official receiver dongle, sold separately.
Controller Alone: $40-60 Depending on color. Silver's cheapest.
Adapter Alone: $66
Controller + Adapter Bundle: $66

Budget 1 Handed Controller**
Hey, if you want to try 1/2 Controller + Mouse, why start off pricey?
$10

Phew, that's about all I have on hand.

u/captbluetooth · 3 pointsr/nintendo

I have a 5k that is thin enough to carry in a pocket or whatever case I get for my Switch, and I have a 20k that fits just fine in my EDC backpack for heavier usage. I have my eye on the new charger from Anker that can accept 2 separate inputs at once to charge back up twice as quickly. Also it is 26,800mAh!

I couldn't remember who told me about Anker power banks so it might've even been you, ami; Anker is the company I had recommended to me in the last several days. And I was right about the 'big fellow' I was looking at being a 26800PD, like yours:

https://www.amazon.ca/Anker-PowerCore-Portable-Double-Speed-Recharging/dp/B01JIWQPMW/

There's also a shipper model with a specific speed-boost charger made for the 26800PD:

https://www.amazon.ca/Anker-PowerCore-Delivery-Charger-Portable/dp/B01MZ61PRW/

and I could get both, and have a backup extra 26800PD battery pack and cable. That would be my preference, to order those two above. The only thing that I currently need to use that would be charged by a USB power point would be my LG G6, which is not usually a heavy-drain device. Still, I'm liking a great deal about what I'm hearing about Anker, and I'm probably going to go with that. In a lengthy blackout, my brother could borrow one for his netbook and both our phones use a USB power point charger.

So as I said this is a 45 ah lead acid starter battery. A deep cycle lead acid had 50% usable. I'd guess a starter probably has about 25% of the 45 ah of the car battery usable so 11.25 ah or 135 watt hr of usable storage. It is REALLY not going to handle a constant 300 watt load on it.

If you really have no space go lithium.

This is $62 and has 26.8 ah @ I guess 3.5V or 96 watts hr. Probably about 80% usable or 77 watts hr. So 2 of these would have more storage then your starter.
https://smile.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Portable-Double-Speed-Recharging/dp/B01JIWQPMW

Personally, I'd do this product:
https://www.bioennopower.com/collections/mobile-power-station/products/400-w-hr-power-pack-bpp-m400
Dimensions: 9.3 in. x 5.9 in. x 9.8 in.
Weight: 11.8 lbs.

It still will not get you 1200 Watt hrs but is way closer. If you had 250W on the roof and were charging in full sunlight and drawing down your storage at 50W/hr then you'd have about 5-6 hours.

> As far as navigation, I will be bringing a paper map. I will bring external battery packs as well but I know I will be in spits without service so I will rely on my analog map mostly.
>

I use an app called RideWithGPS for navigation. It lets you download the maps and routes so that you can navigate without depending on cell service. It gives nice turn by turn directions. I'd use an app as my primary navigation, and a paper map as a back up. Also look into this phone mount for your bike (if oyu have an iPhone), it'll make using your phone for navigation much easier.

I've never had many issues with battery life, and I generally will run Strava and RideWithGPS at the same time while touring. Just make sure to throw your phone on airplane mode and low power mode while you're riding, and bring a power bank with you (This is the one I use). You can always recharge your devices at gas stations, some campsites, and restaurants.

As far as bike choice, if I'm only going to be on pavement, I'll use my road bike with 28c tires. If I'm going on pavement and some dirt/gravel, I'll use my cyclocross/gravel bike with 35c tires, and if I'm doing some straight up bikepacking, I'm going to be on my bikepacking rig which has 3" tires.

That second link might be exactly what I want, if there's documentation for it?
I found this on Adafruit, I assume its the same thing, just with a different board. https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-ina219-current-sensor-breakout/overview

Quick charge is I believe unnecessary for the switch since it doesn't have the capabilities.

Battery: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JIWQPMW/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A294P4X9EWVXLJ

This one has the same capacity, but also dual inputs so you can charge it faster.

Cable: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M3NB6FB/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This cable really is the best available since it's 3.0 and is made of high quality materials. Plus it comes with a nice pouch you can carry it in.

Hi everyone,

Got this Power Bank last week on sale at Amazon; will it be safe for a Switch? @queuebitt?

I use the Anker charger:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JIWQPMW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use the USB to USB C wire that came with the Pro controller (i think) and it has worked perfect for me. I've never ran out of juice on my 3-5 hour flights and it keeps the switch at 100% throughout the flight. It can charge a few devices at once but I've never done that. It should keep t the switched charged on any length flight.

u/Midgetforsale · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

I have this Anker charger and I like it a lot. It was relatively cheap, holds a ton of juice, plus it has two inputs for charging the battery itself so it charges twice as fast! That's a great feature. The amperage is also high enough that the Switch actually charges from it WHILE i'm playing.

u/sanjsrik · 1 pointr/lgv20

In terms of a second battery. I use this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JIWQPMW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's a beast but it goes in my jacket pocket and may weigh a lot but at the same time means I'll never have to be out of battery again.

Tradeoff is size/weight for never having a dead device again.

Here's a quick parts list:

Hydration Bag(galaxy pattern sold out)

EL panel

LED strip

LED controller

EL wires

Power Bank Battery

I took the EL panel and applied a vinyl sticker I custom cut on a Cricut machine, then hot glued the panel to the bag. The EL wires on the bag were attached using fishing string, sewn on every few inches. Same with the LEDs, every few inches I attached them to the arm straps using fishing string and a needle. Not much else to explain, so any more questions feel free to comment or DM me. Thanks for all the love, I'm so excited for next month and if you find me at EDC come up for a hug or a picture or both or neither!

Okay, well since you mentioned you can charge it with USB, I would get an Anker Powerbank like this one. But once you get it, I would test it to see how many charges you can get out of it. And maybe get 2 more batteries too to be safe, haha.

u/UrHeftyLeftyBesty · 1 pointr/HelpMeFind

> way cheaper in the long run. why would it lower cost in longrun?

Cheaper compared to buying batteries made for the GoPro or other camera. While there are external GoPro batteries for $30, get the same capacity you’d need like 6 of them. So it’s $180 instead of $60 and you have to carry way more gear.

> Anker PowerCore 26800 looks like theres many versions of this thing? whats link?

I have a few of this one.

> what's the 'wh' of this thing? how many hours extra does it give?
It’s the equivalent of roughly 20x the standard battery. Depending on what you’re doing and if you’re streaming, battery is used very differently by the GoPro, but it’s safe to assume you’re probably going to get a few days of shooting out of a 26,800 mah battery if you’re not running the camera around the clock. A single one of the Anker batteries will definitely do the trick for a few day trip. At 5 V, the battery produces 134 Wh (compared to the GoPro internal battery that produces just 6 Wh).

> lose about 15-20% of that capacity in charging losses so older action cams dont have very chargining overall? thats just cos its old tech yea?

The older cameras cannot run directly off of the USB port. When you plug in power to the USB port on them (the 10+ year old versions), it charges the battery instead of powering the camera. So if you are using power through the USB port, you have to have a battery in, and it runs it through the internal converter that charges the battery, which is only about 80% efficient. It’s still probably going to be better than swapping out batteries and carrying a big ass load of batteries with you, but the newer cameras are so much better in every way it’s worth 100 bucks or whatever to get one.

u/DaUnknownGames · 1 pointr/Android

Just checked Amazon and I had this case with this Anker Portable I never had a dead phone lol. Always out and traveling.

u/inssein · 1 pointr/Surface

Both Anker and RAV power are top brands that provide good quality powerbanks. Here are their product lists:

Anker

RAVPower

Here are two of their comparable products that have a high capacity and lots of ports:

$65.99 Anker PowerCore 26800

$48.99 RAVPower Xtreme 26800

And here is a site that might help in comparing their products:

Can the laptop be charged via USB-C? For example, with an external battery bank?

Something like that would be a satisfactory cure to small-battery-blues... but only if it worked.

u/purple_maus · 1 pointr/AndroidQuestions

It's an anker 26800mah power bank ( https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01JIWQPMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_7ao0DbN4NGCD9) it has 2 x type USB input to double charge and 3 USB 'iQ' outputs that emit the same amps and volts as if I used my Samsung charger.

My Samsung charger has has a USB type b input and type c output to the phone. I use those cables in the powerbank. It charges as if it was fast charging it just simply says charging. I was just wondering if this could damage anything anywhere in the long term.

u/IEatPizza · 1 pointr/iphone

I had a Ravpower battery once and it worked great, now I have a 10,000 mah Anker and its the same, they both great IMO.

Anker has this so you can charge your power bank faster but only has the regular usb out

u/stverhae · 1 pointr/SolarDIY

Look for portable solar panels on amazon, those are like the one i linked. To get the best results get one around 20W with two usb charging ports and get this powerbank:
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Portable-Double-Speed-Recharging/dp/B01JIWQPMW
It allows you to charge from two usb sockets at the same time, meaning you will be able to take most of the charge (15W)

Some panels:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B012YUJJM8#Ask. (Quite expensive, but very compact)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B012YUJJM8#Ask (powerfull but bigger, cheaper though)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B012YUJJM8#Ask. (Nice option too)

Ideally you’d have two of the powerbanks i linked and two of those 20W sets above (can mix em up)

I recommend buying a panel and battery bank and test them out beforebuying the second pack. Test them well during the return period!

Things to look out for: does it keep charging when you pass trough shade or does it need to be manually reactivated?

How long does it take to charge a battery bank? Note that there is quite some efficienxy loss here. Charging to 80% is usually fastest and most efficient

Can you power the gopro directly from the solar panel? I read that cable quality can be important here, gopro seems a bit fickle in that department. Stick to short cables!

u/relderpaway · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

What is the best powerbank on the market for long haul flights? Have too many switch games I want to play and I'm tired of stressing out whether or not there will be power available and then sometimes getting disappointed.

Think I just read that for flights I'm limited to about 26k mah, but otherwise just want as fast charging and as much play time as possible. Also how long would that give total on the most resource intensive games? (Dragon Quest, Witcher 3 etc.)

Edit: See the Anker powerCore 26800 mentione somewhere so that might be an ok option. Is this the correct one then? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-PowerCore-Portable-Double-Speed-Recharging/dp/B01JIWQPMW/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2EKPTIHARFDGP&keywords=anker%2Bpowercore%2B26800&qid=1569698800&sprefix=anker%2Bpowercore%2B2%2Caps%2C215&sr=8-3&th=1

I saw some posts seeing they had made an official switch power bank, but don't see switch mentioned on this power bank B( Would be good to get some peace of mind before I order it. In the thread about cabels a lot of people seem unsure about using the Anker PowerCore or what cable to use.

EditEdit:

Actually seems like the item I want is this, the PowerCore+

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Powercore-Powerbank-Delivery-Recharging/dp/B06XQ19LWL/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=powercore%2B&qid=1569699466&sr=8-1

And then I guess I will possibly need a USB C cable as well since it seems its not included.

This also seems like an option which is recommended

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XTMK9H2/ref=psdc_329078031_t5_B06XQ19LWL

I don't really mind the price difference that much just want whatever is more reliable, charges more and is smaller/sleeker/lighter.

u/JackFootball · 1 pointr/thinkpad

I can verify that while sleeping or turned off, it charges from a USB battery bank in both the regular port and the "Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0" port. I have no way of verifying the rate of charge or anything like that though since the machine is turned off. This is the device I tried it on: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Portable-Double-Speed-Recharging/dp/B01JIWQPMW

The only way I know it is charging is because of the light at the port by the way.

I’d say it depends on how long you’ll be out. If it’s maybe 5-7 days, my power bank with no separate charger can run my iPhone 8 Plus on medium levels of usage.

It’s this one:
Anker PowerCore 26800 Portable Charger, 26800mAh External Battery with Dual Input Port and Double-Speed Recharging, 3 USB Ports for iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy, Android and other Smart Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JIWQPMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_YG8QBb59RM6H6

If you think you’d need the charger past that, I’d suggest one of the 28w folding panels with dual outputs.

They have charging stations, but honestly (especially if you ever plan on travelling, etc) invest in one of these.

Between my crew, we now have like... 4 of them. Charge up over night, and during the day when you're at camp. Then you don't need to wait in line at the station, and you can still use your phone when you're waiting to juice up. and for that price point, you can't go wrong. 10+ charges per pack, you'll be golden all weekend. They charge hella fast too, like faster than just a plug in the wall.

u/flecom · 1 pointr/Atomic_Pi

you can get high current battery packs, with two USB cables in parallel this unit for example will give you 6A (30W)

u/ah0bbs · 1 pointr/guitarpedals

I started with this but then switched to this so I could go multiple shows without recharging.

Other supplies as needed:

these take you from 5v USB to 9V

these reverse the polarity to work with most pedals

these take you to 18v if needed

this is good for keeping an eye on your current draws and I had one mounted on my board initially to keep track of battery life. The larger battery pack has a battery meter built in I just align to shine up through a hole in the board so I no longer mount the USB meter.

this is what I use as a power switch

I traveled Europe recently, not as long as you though but when I was there I carried one back pack, in there I had 3 lenses, 35mm 50mm and kit 18-55mm, and my body D5550 with my battery grip , total of 3 batteries, I bought 2 64gb cards specifically for the trip, ended up not even using full of one of the 64gb, and a hard case on amazon to carry my SD Cards, a iPad mini and a iPad SD card reader, and my mefoto tripod, AND last which was really super helpful was a Anker battery pack, which charged my iPad and phone when out and abou, if your an American don't forget to buy an outlet converter, me and friends stayed in hostels and shared the converter!

u/Dakattack_Red · 1 pointr/personalfinance

Contrary to what is being said here, I don't think you need to get something as cheap as a flip phone to stay afloat.

You're 23 and in college; unless you're the type of person to avoid smartphone apps entirely, you're going to want to have a smartphone.

But it doesn't need to be an iPhone. Take this Huawei phone for example. $179 with dual cameras, 32gb of storage and a fingerprint scanner.

It's worth asking if you really need to upgrade though. You say the camera is "bad" but how bad? Is it cracked or broken in anyway? Or is the quality just subpar to that of newer devices? Are you a photographer? Do you need a good camera?

As for the battery, you could always pick up a portable charger to keep in your backpack. This Anker one can supposedly charge your phone up to 10 times on a single charge. Sure it's cumbersome, but it's a cheap fix for your battery problem if you're already carrying around a backpack for school. You could always opt for a smaller one if you have a smaller bag.

Consider if this upgrade is a need or a want. If you're on a budget you're going to want to hold on to your most expensive items for as long as you can.

This is the one I use, and I love it. More capacity than you're likely to use in a day, and three USB ports so you probably won't have to choose between charging different devices. Anker's a good company.

There's also a cheaper model with the exact same capacity, but without only four indicator lights instead of ten. I like having a more precise idea of how much charge I have left, but it's mostly a matter of personal preference.

I also have a backpack with me wherever I go, so the fact that it's a bit on the large and heavy side doesn't matter much to me, but be aware that it weighs down pockets quite a bit if that's how you're going to be carrying it.
