Maybe you can help me also. PC specs are as follows-

i7-8700K CPU@3.70GHZ
16GB RAM
GeForce RTX 2080

I’m deciding between these two monitors. I want the best bang for my buck and something that will last me for at least a few years.

Was just in the same situation, i got this AOC 32" curved 1440p 144hz 1ms w/ Freesync. Was $330, easily beats most $500+ monitors out there.

For the price, there's no better deal out there. You no longer need to pay a premium for a G-Sync monitor as Nvidia unlocked their cards to work w/ Freesync.

u/Rayden666 · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

32" acceptable? This is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/AOC-CQ32G1-Frameless-2560x1440-DisplayPort/dp/B07HKM16DT

32", 1440p, 144hz, Freesync and (unofficial) gsync support.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

How does that one compare to this? https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07HKM16DT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 just bought it but might cancel and get the 32" version of the Viewsonic instead

Would go with the AOC one, has way better specs and more affordable pricing (320$ on amazon).

u/Javas_Crypt · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

https://www.amazon.ca/AOC-CQ32G1-Frameless-2560x1440-DisplayPort/dp/B07HKM16DT

This one's a little cheaper, but it only has normal freesync, not freesync 2 hdr, whatever the difference is.

u/Wasserpolo22 · 1 pointr/Monitors

Aoc , I have the cq32g1, check it out AOC CQ32G1 31.5" Curved Frameless... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HKM16DT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

So this new build I came up with is towards the top of your budget. But this shit is extremely beautiful. 2080 Ti, Full RGB, OC'able, all complete with 2.5 TB of SSD storage.

CPU: https://www.newegg.com/amd-ryzen-7-3700x/p/N82E16819113567?Item=N82E16819113567

The Ryzen 7 3700X is an extremity of value and power. This processor can easily shred gaming tasks and can even handle heavy workstation. 8 Cores and 12 Threads give you a lot of space for multi-tasking, streaming, and editing.

GPU: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LDLQFDY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

How about a liquid-cooled GPU? The Gigabyte AORUS 2080 Ti Xtreme Water Force is a really beautiful and high-performing 2080 Ti. It is cooled by an included 240mm liquid AIO and will yield superb thermals compared to cheap base models. The 2080 Ti Xtreme will also add more RGB to your build.

RAM: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-CMW32GX4M2C3200C16-Vengeance-PC4-25600-Desktop/dp/B07GTG2T7L/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=ddr4+3600+32gb&qid=1568075251&s=gateway&sr=8-2

Keeping the Corsair-based RGB theme. The Vengeance RGB is a very popular series of RAM, and it's hard to not see why. As Ryzen now supports native 3200MHz RAM clocks, there is no reason not to buy RAM faster than 3000MHz. This kit is also a 32GB Kit, which will be more than enough for gaming as well as excelling in any memory heavy tasks (Chrome...).

SSD(1): https://www.newegg.com/hp-ex950-512gb/p/N82E16820326205?Item=N82E16820326205

The EX950 is one of the fastest SSDs out there, at a very reasonable price. The EX950 will function as your primary boot drive.

SSD(2): https://www.newegg.com/intel-660p-series-2tb/p/N82E16820167461?Description=660p&cm_re=660p-_-20-167-461-_-Product

Why not go with pure SSD storage since you got a mighty budget? The 660p provides 2TB of fast storage at a decent price, definitely worth considering.

Motherboard: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813144261?Item=N82E16813144261

The MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge motherboard is a great motherboard, with hundreds of positive reviews. It will allow for easy overclocking. It also features on board wifi, so no wifi card bullshit.

Power Supply: https://www.newegg.com/evga-supernova-750-g5-220-g5-0750-x1-750w/p/N82E16817438162?Item=N82E16817438162

As usual, it is EVGA stealing my recommendation as the PSU choice. The SuperNOVA 750 G5 is a very high quality PSU with Japanese capacitors as well as a ten year warranty. 750 is enough to power the system, even with the RTX 2080 Ti and the Ryzen 7 3700X at Overclocked or Boost speeds.

CPU Cooler: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JWB5BSN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

The H100i will provide great thermals, even under OC temps. The H100i Platinum also features full RGB fans, which will sync with your motherboard, RAM, GPU, Case, and LL120s.

Fan: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075VDGSJ8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Nothing to explain here, just an extra fan to fill the 680X with all RGB fans.

Case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MFR1VDN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A1XBPHGHAXLHDG&psc=1

This case will certain look and work will with your build. The 680X has enough space to build in as well as above-average ventilation. The 680X also has three LL120 fans included, which will sync with your other components, read the reviews on Amazon.

Monitor (Suggestion): You need a decent monitor to take full advantage of the hardware, try a 144hz 2K monitor.

Like I said, I know it’s not what you wanted, but it is a proof of concept. If you look for a 1440p 240hz curves monitor, there will be a good one on sale eventually, just like I found my monitor.

Go to https://productchart.com/monitors and you can filter your possible options down to a few.

And just so that I can actually be helpful, check out the AOC CQ32G1. It’s not 240hz but it looks kinda decent. if your desk is ok, why not dual monitors? like 2x AOC CQ32G1 or any other budget monitors. I have two Pixio PX329 32" 165hz with G-sync compatible. So far so good. I love it.

u/FastCarsAndSlowWomen · 1 pointr/buildmeapc

I would be looking at something like this: https://www.amazon.com/AOC-CQ32G1-Frameless-2560x1440-DisplayPort/dp/B07HKM16DT/ref=sr_1_4?fst=as%3Aoff&qid=1564788268&refinements=p_n_feature_thirteen_browse-bin%3A17751775011%2Cp_n_feature_fourteen_browse-bin%3A17751789011&rnid=17751784011&s=pc&sr=1-4

Anything 27+ inches with 144hz + freesync and good reviews would do it.

edit:

Also I would get a desk mount so I could get it in just the right spot and have tons of room for an XL mousepad

This is the Samsung Curved Gaming Monitor 32"

Samsung:https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-C32HG70-32-Inch-Monitor-C32HG70QQN/dp/B06XT6WQCJ

I like it, has 1ms response time and 144hz refresh rate. I play a decent amount of shooters so I wanted atleast 120hz refresh rate. I think I got it on sale for 300-400$ on the costco website.

I got the samsung about a year ago, I've heard this AOC monitor is just as good and 200$ cheaper on amazon.
