The model you have got has a faster SSD, 4 thunderbolt ports and a faster processor (maybe? don't have the specs).

The 2019 model is 2 thunderbolt ports and slower SSD. You can get $100 off as a student discount and ask Best Buy to price match it with Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V49JVNH/ref=twister_B07VMC6P3H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 you get a better deal.

I think the 2019 models have better processors, do more research on it.
