ASUS BW-16D1HT ~$80USD. Only rips CDs as I haven't installed MakeMKV, but as soon as I get off my lazy ass I'm going to try that on ubuntu


Have been using a Pioneer BDR-XD04 on my macs for a number of years for plain 1080p rips using MakeMKV

This is the drive I use, yeah you have to flash custom firmware which can be found here (in the description). It's basically just open the firmware flasher and flash, it's one click with this drive (It's the official Asus firmware flasher, just modded to flash the custom firmware).

but do burners save a movie in a file ? and if a internal burner is made for windos7,8 does it work on windows 10 ? im looking at this:
