Because you're doing photo editing, you're going to want an i7 and possibly a dGPU, here are some good options:

  • Asus VivoBook 15
  • Asus Q524UQ
  • Asus ZenBook

    I know, these are slightly above 1'000$, but these will really do you good, especially the first and last one with the 1TB HDD to store all your media and the smooth touchpad without Windows Precision AFAIK.

I’ve used this computer for about 5 years. Works like a dream for music. Great specs on the categories you should care about. Only thing that ages it is the 2TB being HDD, but come on, it’s 2 TB. That’s great to me for a dedicated music laptop
