Hey, I found this gtx 1050 laptop. It seems really good to me, but unfortunately it does not have a 1 tb hard drive :(.
I found another option, this time it has a 1tb drive but it is slightly thicker than the prievious model and unfortunately is definitively gamer^^tm certified.
Hi, those games are not hard to run so I think a GTX 1050 graphics card is just right for you. The cheapest laptop with that graphics card is the ASUS Vivobook K570ZD, which is good for your use.
If portability is important to you and at the same time you still want to do some level of gaming, the HP would be out due to its lack of a dedicated graphics card. The Acer is the heaviest of the lot, but also the most powerful... The K570ZD would be the best balance of all you need.

Really have narrowed it down to these two:

The HP has a GTX 1050 3g and i5 9300H while the ASUS has a GTX 1050 4g and Ryzen 5 2500U. I'm looking at using this laptop for Grad School (Word processing/Excel), Streaming, Browsing, and WoW Classic. The hardware difference to me seems relatively minimal. I'm looking for a laptop that is more "lowkey" and both don't seem to be too cringey looking (going with the white instead of green for HP). Thoughts?
If you can do $600 look at the Asus Vivobook K570ZD , it will feel like a real upgrade from your old laptop. It has lots of power and it will game really well (will be able to run lots of games on high settings).

For whatever reason, this Asus Vivobook is really cheap right now compared to other options (only $600USD). The CPU isn't great, but the GPU is good, so you wouldn't need to worry about gaming. The SSD will keep it snappy, but it has limited space, so if you need more this Dell one is an option, but it only has a slow hard drive.
Pricewise, this is about as low as you can go and still call it a gaming laptop. I'm not sure what your definition of cheap is.
But you're in canada, where prices for the same laptops are over $900CD. Here's one I could find: Acer Nitro Same specs as the Dell one above.
Here's the Canadian listing for the Vivobook. And if your definition of cheap happens to include $1500, here's this.
Good luck with work!
Budget: 600-1000ish

Screen size: 15.6 in preffered but can go smaller

For college, want to do some light gaming(League, maybe others)
and schoolwork(CS major)
but also want to be somewhat portable. No need for a heavy gamer rig. What I found so far, but open for suggestions
