Why would you buy Samsung brand? There's nothing special about them.

Get a couple quick charge 2.0 or 3.0 chargers and some USB C cables. There's even generic wireless charging pads.

Whatever charger you get, make sure it's at least 7.5W in order to fast charge your iPhone. Also, a quick charge power adapter that's at least 15W.

Here's what I highly recommended:

That sounds like all of your problems are due to a bad battery, and exacerbated by a shitty charger. Lithium cells can withstand roughly 500 charges before their capacity is significantly affected, which for most people is right about after a year, having charged it slightly more than once a day. A new battery will fix the percentage issues, but not the slow charging. You need a decent charger for that, preferably a QuickCharge 2.0 or 3.0. I've had the phone from day one and still go from 20% to 100% in less than an hour.

Dont worry, i haven't forgotten :p Sorry for the short delay, I work graveyards so I mainly do my phone charging at work. Anyways the charger and cable came in and some interesting things happened.

First, i drained the battery down to 20%. Once I plugged this aftermarket charger and cable in, the phone did a small freeze on me. I was like "oh snap, did i break something?" Couple seconds later all was well and the phone acted normal again. When I checked charging status it says "charging slowly" which was not what I'd expected. So i opened up Ampere and it clearly showed the thing was barely charging. Suddenly it started connecting and disconnecting from the charger. So i yanked the cable out and plugged it back in. Still monitoring Ampere, i saw the charging rate go up into what i assume a normal quick charge 3.0 rate is. Seeing this i left the phone afk for the same 40 minutes that i did with the stock charger. After the 40 minutes, the phones battery went from 20% to about 76%, a bit slower than the stock charger, but still reasonably fast i think. I don't know exactly what happened when i first plugged it in to the aftermarket charger but I'll try to replicate it tomorrow and update you with the results.

And if any of you guys were wondering, I picked up this charger:

I use this wall charger, this cable for it, and this shorter cable for my car (so there's not a lot of wire dangling). To be honest though, I don't really use the wall charger much, I just carry it in my bag. I charge it exclusively in the car during my commute (40 minutes each way) and on my nightstand overnight with an old Samsung "slow" charger (no need to fast charge it when it's just sitting there for 7-ish hours plugged in).

Aukey has a great QC 2.0 one that I own. Its been amazing, charges insanely fast and haven't had any problems. Assuming they kept the quality the same with the 3.0 I'd go for that one.

The one I have:

Here is my go to purchase for quick chargers and the Pixel is sporting QC 3.0 in case you're looking for an alternative. Aukey has impressed me with their return policy, but Rav Power, ANKER are also great. https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Charge-Galaxy-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B018RR30TK

I bought these. They work great.

I'm looking for a replacement battery that fits in the stock case. Can you recommend one?

Also, I've been using this Aukey QC 3.0 wall charger:

https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Samsung-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B018RR30TK/

Is that bad? If so, can you recommend a charger for me?

Thanks!

u/kpopper2013 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS6

You don't have to use a Samsung charger just to fast charge. I have an Aukey like this one on Amazon but with two ports that fast charges my S6.

u/aquoad · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Amazon is just horribly ridden with fake consumer electronics. It's just a gamble at this point. I've been buying Anker and Aukey branded stuff, but because they've gained a decent reputation those are being faked now too. Whee!

A safe bet for OP would be Aukey PA-T9 (https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Samsung-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B018RR30TK/)

u/AjkayAlan · 1 pointr/MotoX4

I went with Anker branded cables (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A6F3WHG) with an Aukey 18w charger with Qualcomm Quickcharge 3 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018RR30TK) and it works perfectly.

Just stick with the name brands for cables, and for chargers look for Qualcomm Quickcharge 3 with 18w and you should be good to go.

I didn't have the G4, but from what I've read they didn't include a QC 2.0 charger with it. The G5 stock charger (at least in the US, I've heard it varies overseas) is maybe only a QC 2.0 charger, I don't think it's certified - it's a big failure on their part to include proper chargers. QC 3.0 should have a lot more volt/amp options as that's how the the technology works, this certified Aukey charger has outputs of 3.6-6.5V/3A, 6.5V-9V/2A, and 9V-12V/1.5A.

u/Kurookitox · 1 pointr/galaxys10

I'd recommend either the Anker or Aukey wireless charger. I've used both and they're great. You have to buy the AC adapter separately for each one though in order to enable fast charging.

I just bought this one this week. It works great; just this morning I went from 19% to 89% in about 50 minutes.

u/hagemajr · 1 pointr/linuxhardware

Ok I tried it with the following USB C wall chargers

  • First
  • Second
  • Third

None of them charged the battery. Doesn't mean it can't be charged by USB-C but none of the chargers I have would charge it. It's possible the 15" supports it and the 13.3" inch does not as well.
u/SchawgBoy · 1 pointr/Nextbit

I got the Aukey 3.0 quick charger and it works great. Here's the link for the exact one I bought https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Charge-Galaxy-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B018RR30TK

u/rusrslythatdumb · 1 pointr/iphone

Same, I use this Aukey wall charger and it charges much faster than the regular power block. The iPad charger is 12W, the usbc charger is 29w. This one is 17w, so I figure it can't hurt.

u/almightywhacko · 1 pointr/galaxynote5

If you're willing to pay $17 for a single cable, why not give me $12 of that and I'll give you a really nice cable....

Here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NB0ZSR6/

I bought these a few months ago and they are excellent. They support Fast Charging, are very durable and have nice small connectors that fit any micro USB outlet.

If you are looking for an actual charger, this have worked well for me:

https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Samsung-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B018RR30TK

I have 3 or 4 of these scattered around the house and they work every bit as well as the Samsung fast charger that came with my phone.

u/TemptedTemplar · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

Yes. This one would work wonderfully. There is also a version with two usb ports if you prefer.

u/iszoloscope · 1 pointr/Xiaomi

Okay thanks for the replies guys! :)

I also bought these chargers on amazon (the German one):
https://www.amazon.com/Charge-AUKEY-Charger-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B018RR30TK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1493036451&sr=8-3&keywords=aukey+Quick+Charge+3.0

Because I'm sure you guys in America also got a Chinese charger with your phone. Or do you use the same power outlet (or whatever you call that) as China? Does look like it now I see the pictures on amazon.com

u/Berzerker7 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS8

I haven't used anything better than these Tronsmart chargers.

You'll need a QC2.0 wall charger, I'm sure this AUKEY work fine.

u/VirtualPoolBoy · 1 pointr/Vive

So something like this?

I’ve been charging my battery with my MacBook Pro’s USB-C power adapter, but it‘s as slow as the regular plugs. Maybe Apple’s Fast Charge hardware isn’t compatible with Quick Charge 3.0 hardware?

>Most 'quick charge' simply provide a much higher amperage, not voltage.

That's not true. Look at this Quick charge 3.0 charger: https://www.anker.com/products/A2210012
