I’m basically repeating information that’s already been said, sorry. Most pans are magnetized for z-palettes unless they’re like, cheap tin. MAC has the opposite polarity, so they only work with their own palettes.

You said you bought sticker-magnets, so that’s good. I think you’ll find most pans are already magnetized.

Don’t forget to write the shade names on the back of the pans. I use these.

I get 1" round labels (like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00007LVE0/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_HMNkxb86J3KR7l), make a little logo or design on the computer, print it off, and stick em on the cap.

I use these because they're super cheap, super easy to see unless you're using white vinyl, and you can write on print on them really easily. I use them both to mark the position of my records and to mark the key and BPM on the jacket.

This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but I have used Avery 1" round labels and my laser printer (ink jet runs when wet) to mark the bottle caps. It's great for when you don't want anything to peal off and want to reuses bottles.

For me I wanted something that was not a lot of work, so ordered the following off of Amazon. I like the Avery stickers because you can easily find templates for them on Avery's website for several file types.
