You can get some collectible coin holder pages and just put the tiles in those. It's much easier to just pass the pages than look at individual "stacks" of tiles. These worked great.

A cheaper option would be to buy a pack of coin protectors. They are like $9 for a pack of 20 4x5 sheets. You can take 4 of them and cut them down to 3x3 or use the excess area to hold gear you're not currently using. If you don't like the floppiness, mount it to something stiffer.

As an added bonus you can also now easily organize all your gear cards as they easily hold multiples of the same card in each slot. Throw them in a binder, add some tabs for each crafting location. This makes it much easier to look at your gear cards when trying to figure out what to get. It also eliminates the need to sleeve gear cards as you just remove them from one sleeve and put them in the next.

I have the core game, Lion God, Sun Stalker, Gorm, and Slenderman gear cards in these. With 4 sheets reserved for survivors I still have 6 sheets left.

Since most of the others have given you the right answers to your questions, I thought I would elaborate more on how you could store your game as well as bling it out. I have around 6 completed campaigns at this point (so maybe 500ish hours in…holy crap that’s a lot more than I expected)

Hobby lobby routinely has coupons for 50% off of one item. I think I spent $20 for my case. One case will hold all of the non-gear cards for the base game (sleeved) and all of the current expansions. I bought a second one of these cases to store all of the terran, settlement events, settlement locations, gear grids, rulebooks, etc. I no longer use the original box at all.
For the gear cards, I use a coin sleeve sheet (https://www.amazon.ca/20-Twenty-20-Pocket-Collecting-Supplies/dp/B002KDNAU2/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8) in a three ring binder.

For sleeves, I primarily used FFG Grey sleeves but I did back the Mage Sleeves kickstarter so I used those for the gear cards, settlement events, and settlement locations (there are likely other places to get them)

Colored rings around the bases is also really helpful for remembering which character is which. It makes it a lot easier to find the stuff you need.

It's relatively easy to put things in and take them out. The one caveat is that it's sometimes too easy for parts to fall out. As long as you store your binder and travel with it upright things should be fine.

I almost exclusively collect foreign coins, and I use the 2x2 cardboard flips for all of them worth displaying. I keep the 2x2s in sheets like these in a big binder. What kind of foreign coins do you have? I imagine that they make ones sized specifically to different currencies, but I just use the US sizes and approximate: for example, a turn of the century Russian 2 kopek coin is a few mm smaller in diameter than a US quarter, so it goes in a quarter-sized flip.

they are in a binder, and I have turned the binder upside down and did not have a problem with them falling out as they do fit nicely in the pockets and to get them out you have to push them up from the bottom of the pocket as you can not easily reach in the pocket and pull them out.

as for the size, you need to make sure the pocket size is a little bit over 2 inches as the dials are 2 inches wide. the ones linked are an excellent size. plus 20 pages for $6 is not bad.

Oh man I need to get that playmat, but for me it was definitely my addon for Food Chain Magnate. It condenses the game from taking up every inch of a large table, to now being playable on an average or possibly even small table. Plus cleanup and setup takes half the time and it's much easier to keep track of who has what powers.

Runner ups include:

• Kemet - Buying these coin cases to hold all of the power tiles. Now it's so much faster setting up the game, I also have enough to give to each player so they can have their own sleeve of powers. Best part is is that for new players they can just grab the sleeve rather than having to glance over at the power tiles from afar.
  
• Pandemic/Dominant Species - I got these containers to hold all of the disease cubes and species cubes for both games and they work perfectly. My only suggestion would be to get a slightly larger container so it is easier to grab the pieces when they are inside, but the negative to that is that they will not fit in the original box as well.

These are like 1mm too short. Sometimes it drives me a bit mad, but again, I would much rather they were protected this much, than not at all. They do get shuffled and used every round. I've seen some people use two sleeves per card to cover it completely, but that's a bit much and they tend to split badly when you attempt it.

 

Why did I not sleeve the gear cards? Because I bought these and cut them down to a 3x3 grid:

I have made two key upgrades to my copy that made it 100% more playable:

1. Print off extra reference sheets. BGG has some good all-in-one PDF's. Any will do, especially if you don't need the expansion.

To be honest, that picture was taken when I was only about 2 months in. I wouldn't be able to fit all my full dials in a binder with my collection now, so I use the upgraded dials and only keep the maneuvers half of the dial and the ship ID token in the pages with the bases. I have one of every ship and multiples of some, and can fit all 3 factions in 1 2" binder.

I have these and they've been great so far. For weird denominations like 3c, I just used whatever was the closest side. The closer the coin fits, the less it rotates or (obviously) slides around. Just kind of an appealing part of using a properly sized flip. Also, the little clear material is (I believe) Mylar [EDIT, the seller, Hobbymaster USA, says it's polypropylene "which contains no acid, PVC, or Vinyl". It is a really really solid game, and if you end up loving it as much as we did, there are some very simple amazon purchases you can make to make setup take <5mins.

Power Tile holder - Cut off 1 row and the binder holes and you can store all of the power tiles in here. These fold in half and fit perfectly in the box. Setup is as simple as taking the 3 sheets out of the box and done!

Player boxes - Put each colored players pieces in these boxes (battle cards, miniatures, prayer point tracker, turn tracker, and action tokens). With the last extra box, put the Divine Intervention cards and all of the small extra silver/gold action tokens. If you can find ones that are slightly deeper you could even fit each of the 3 colored pyramids.

Victory Point holder - Holds all of the victory points in their own compartments.

I was linked to these coin collector sleeves a while back. You just cut a row off, and it makes it basically perfect. And it fits in the box great.

I use 2"x2" coin holder pages in my binder, they will fit both halves inside each pocket. I leave the dials separated so that when I put one into one of those schmancy new plastic dials, the top half with the label is left behind to remind me where it came from, and I can always look at the back to match the numbers if needed.

Personal suggestion:

The only cards that will need shuffling are standard size (Hit Locations, AI, Innovations, Disorders, Hunt Events, etc). So it's easy to get sleeves for those. And since they are standard size you can even colour code the sleeves easily.

Settlement Event cards are the only "weird" sized cards that will be shuffled, but you can get around that for now by using dice or a randomizer until someone releases sleeves that size (which are easy to get and don't require a frigging kickstarter pledge).

Gear cards are strange sized, but you won't need to shuffle those. Use something like a "coin protector page" (similar to this) if you wanna protect them while playing.

Late response, but I use a large 3-ring binder and a bunch of 2X2 sheets like this. Individual coins are stored in archival-quality Mylar flips, and those flips go into the sheet slots. Much cheaper than buying a Dansco album.

I just stocked up on DS games at a store that used coin collecting binder pages for their thousands of cartridges.

Carts are pretty hardy, so you could conceivably keep them in a simple cosmetic bag. Lots of cute ones on Etsy that aren't pink satin. I crocheted two drawstring pouches for my boyfriend and I to use for our collections. Of course, with that large of a collection it would take forever to find the cart you want.

I'd say look into the coin collecting stuff for now. Maybe you can find half size binder pages somewhere that would be more portable.

I use Paladin's standard sleeves and also perfect barrier sleeves.

The perfect barrier sleeves are amazing value to price, and they're a lot easier to get than the paladin sleeves

The black tiles are cool. The other modules are OK.

I'd also consider getting 4 pages of these BCW 2x2" pocket pages to keep the upgrade tiles in for easy setup and tear-down. I just cut off the last 5th row.

I am currently using a plastic 16-game case that fits in my Mario 3DS backpack. I have an idea of what you are talking about here. Its a good idea if you have a large collection and I think the coin one is a good size, the pockets are 2"x2" You may be able to get half sheets or cut the sheets in half and put them into a smaller binder.
