Hands down Bear, by Marian Engel. It's a somber introspective about a woman discovering herself through her connection to nature and a forbidden romance.
I've been wanting to read Bear for ages.
The Saint of Impossible Causes sounds good too.
and... i bought it. this book looks to absurd not to own. thanks for the heads up!
