I don't know what others do, but here's my routine that works nicely.

Condition with beard conditioner every day. I use [Grave Before Shave Shampoo](GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE BEARD WASH SHAMPOO 6oz. Tube https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017Y3YG5U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ECFOyb426HK13) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

I'm also using Grave Before Shave oils and balms, and I'm more than a little upset they haven't made a conditioner yet because I think it would be glorious.
