  • Takstar Pro82
  • Lasmex L-90
    • comes with an adequate inline mic on the short cord. Works with the VModa BoomPro for a mic upgrade.

  • Beyer C1Pro
    • a couple of the white version listed in the warehouse for $117.27 due to damaged original boxes. if that makes you nervous, it's ok. again, an adequate inline mic; also accepts the BoomPro as an upgrade, or Beyer has their own attachable mic that's more expensive.

Not the DT770s, but the Custom One Pro is currently really well priced on Amazon Warehouse Deals, and I can definitely vouch for them.

Hey guys! As a first-time buyer, I'd greatly appreciate any advice.

Budget + Source - $200 or so, more or less | iPhone 6s, PS4, Macbook Pro.

Requirements for Isolation - Not really any.

Preferred Type of Headphone - Comfort is king!

Past headphones - On-Ear Sol Republic Tracks HD are the only pair of recognizable headphones I've owned. I have no issues with the top part of the band, but my ears start hurting after about an hour or less, which makes them basically only good for the gym at this point.

Preferred Music + Tonal Balance - Pop, hip-hop, rock, and classical music are my favorites. I love bass, but love listening to classical as well.

What would you like to improve on from your set-up? - Anything that sounds better than my Sol Republics and is miles ahead in terms of comfort. Beyond using them for music, it would be great if they could be used when gaming on a PS4.

I've been considering the Audio-Technica ATH-M50xWH, the Sennheiser HD 598, the AKG Pro Audio K612PRO, the AKG Q 701 Quincy Jones Signature, the V-MODA Crossfade M-100, the Beyerdynamic DT line, and finally the Beyerdynamic 709093 Custom One Pro Plus which I was almost dead-set on buying, but figured I'd post here first. Thank you for taking the time to read this, any help (or suggestions) would be greatly appreciated!

To me sound wise they are the same. The only difference would be that since they are not 80 Ohm like my previous ones they are easier to drive. I am really not the person to ask about this due to my tinnitus but since my DT770 and these they are better than my previous ATH-M50, HD280PRO and V6.

The rest is pretty much a plus except for the factory pads. I like the velcro style headband over the button one. The removable headphone cable is the primary reason I went with them. I also like the design better with the metal insert on the cups. The only downside was the factory pads being leatherette instead of the velour. I immediately replaced them so it was about $35 more. I also replaced the cable with a braided 4ft one for $15. This was the one I purchased. If I had known about the Custom Studio at the time I would have purchased them instead.

White Ones are going for a good price- how would they compare?
