I deleted it bc it more in line with BIM management than strictly revit, but you should check out this book.

It won't teach you how to use revit, per se, but it is great for making sense of the moving BIM parts
As for learning revit, I completely understand not wanting to fall behind. You might mess around with google sketchup(it's a free and easier software) and move to revit after you've got a handle on it. I will say it is pretty easy to learn how to do any one specific thing in revit via Internet, though learning the interface and where everything is can be tricky. Anyhow, hopefully some of this was helpful.
