Looking for suggestions for my first time teaching bioethics next spring.

I'm looking for a textbook, and currently have three options on the table:

  • Biomedical Ethics by DeGrazia & Mappes
  • Bioethics: Principles, Issues, and Causes by Vaughn
  • Principles of Biomedical Ethics by Beauchamp & Childress

Anyone have experience with any of these three, or any other books they'd recommend?

I'm also looking for suggestions on standalone papers and topics. I'm looking to basically cover the following:

  • Theoretical foundations of bioethics (basic normative theories)
  • Moral patienthood/personhood
  • Reproduction ethics (abortion, natalism, parental/child rights)
  • Informed consent
  • Bias in medical care
  • Right to health care
