I use a Mass gainer in the morning at about 9:00am then I use a protein shake with my workouts in the evening.
Protein shakes and Mass gainer shakes are all well and good but I would recommend using them to only pad meals, just as an extra, that way your still getting the majority of your nutrition from real food.
Here are some Amazon links for what I get. The Protein shake can be purchased at Walmart if there is one near you.

Oats. Oats oats oats, and then more oats.

You mentioned having a hard time eating them straight? Hide them in smoothies! Here's my go-to:

  • 1.5 cup 2% milk
  • 2 Tbsp creamy PB
  • 0.5 cup old fashioned oats (dry)
  • 1 scoop Body Fortress Chocolate
  • 1 banana
  • ice if you want, I usually do. Freeze the banana in peeled chunks if you don't do ice.

That behemoth clocks in at 804 calories, 30g fat, 56g protein, 84g carbs, and 10g fiber. I usually drink it in two or three servings over the day.
