It's actually a MicroSD and a cheap china converter. MicroSD plus MicroSD to USB converter.
Can you give examples? Most of the ones I've found on Amazon look like they're about the same size. I found a very tiny handful of smaller ones like this, but I wouldn't buy them based on the number of reviews saying they didn't work, broke, or were unreliable.
I personally have been using this in my win since November last year. 456gigs total external storage (200sandisk + 256samsung). Sticks out approx 3mm further than the shoulder buttons. Smallest form factor option for max storage.

If you need max speed the lexar S45 or the samsung fit are the two recommended nano usb drives but max out at 128gig.
Hopefully that's useful and lets not speak of this ugliness again. :)

Thoughts? Think it's worth it? It's cheaper with a low profile, but will it be good on the GPD?
