I also had problems listening during commutes and a pair of noise cancelling headphones solved that perfectly. Maybe the wont work together with hearing aids but you could maybe try a pair at a store and see if they do.

These are the ones I use: https://www.amazon.com/Bose-QuietComfort-Wireless-Headphones-Cancelling/dp/B0756CYWWD

The cups are quite big so maybe you can keep your hearing aid inside them?

Not the person you asked, but personally my life changed when I bought the Bose Quiet Comfort Series II. Never gonna regret that one.

u/jazzytrombone · 8 pointsr/GreenBayPackers

'bout tree fiddy

No, seriously, the QC35 Series II are $350 on Amazon. Series I is $330 I believe, I'm not sure what the difference is. I'd love to try them out but I don't think I can afford them at this point.

u/biking4jesus · 4 pointsr/FulfillmentByAmazon

This is a special type of A+ (Enhanced Content) available for brands. Last we heard, it was costing $100-500k a product family. It allows use of Video, dynamic callouts/hover text, and carousels. Bose has it for example https://www.amazon.com/Bose-QuietComfort-Wireless-Headphones-Cancelling/dp/B0756CYWWD and so does

u/aj0220 · 4 pointsr/bodybuilding

I'll give you two answers;

Bose Noise Canceling Wireless bluetooth over the ear headphones. Expensive yes. But you get what you pay for and the sound quality is extraordinary. Bose is a household name with above average hardware. (I own these personally)

https://www.amazon.com/Bose-QuietComfort-Wireless-Headphones-Cancelling/dp/B0756CYWWD

Second ones I like are the power beats. Not the over the ear type but they're nice and lightweight with pretty good audio. Light enough to not notice them, loud enough to drown any sound out if you're cranking that r/bodybuilding Spotify playlist.

I use Bose QC35II's. Aside from the ear sweat, which isn't that bad considering I just take them off occasionally and wipe them on my hoodie, they're great

Za spremljat cene na Amazonu uporabljaj camelcamelcamel.com. Not vneseš amazonov URL do produkta in ti pokaže zgodovino gibanja cen. Poleg tega pa lahko nastaviš željeno ceno in ti bodo poslali mail, ko bo toliko ali manj.

Recimo: https://de.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B0756CYWWD

Na Amazonu redno naročam. Večinoma iz .de, redko tudi iz .it, .fr, .es, .co.uk. Imajo včasih precej različne cene in je na .co.uk kaj za 50€ ceneje kot na .de.

Paket pride ponavadi v tednu do dveh z redno pošiljko.

I work a standard 40 hour week. Generally don't take my work home with me unless I want to, or I messed up badly coming up to the end of a sprint.
My company is pretty decent with that. They make a point of keeping us as close as possible to the 40 hour work week. I've been work there a year now and I've never had to do overtime. Some evenings I'll stay later to get something done, but then I'll go early on Friday, or have a lie in and come in later the next day.
What I find helpful in a pinch, if I need to do a bit extra I'll work from home, then I gain roughly 2 hours a day commute time, so I'm still 'home' at my usual time, but got two more hours work in. I also work on the train if I need to, but you can't really focus there.
My suggestions:

Buy some good quality noise cancelling headphones, it's much easier to focus with them. I listen to some fairly minimal, repetitive music at a low volume to help me focus. Alternatively just switch them on to block out a large amount of background noise from the room. Well worth the money.
Cut back on the coffee - one cup a day if possible, if not, drink a tall glass of water at the same time. It'll work wonders.
Get a stand-up desk. If you have one, use it. They're standard here. They really help with maintaining focus. It's also much healthier to not sit the whole day. I try to work standing at least 3 or 4 hours a day. I don't always manage, but then some days I stand the whole day. I find just changing from sitting to standing can really wake you up.
Also eat fruit - I like bananas; slow release energy during the day.
Take screen breaks.

All that should help you.

It really depends on your budget and what you want, for ease of use and portability I would get AirPods. If you're and audiophile and really want wireless IEMs you can get some shures or mee. If you want over headphones that have noise cancelling you can get either qc 35s or surface headphones. If you prefer high quality IEM's and cost isn't an issue theres CIEMs. Lastly if you just want some good headphones you want to listen at home theres a selection of sennheisers.

Just a heads up, Amazon Spain is selling the QC35 II for EUR 259,00 here

u/tartrate10 · 2 pointsr/insomnia

It's a somewhat expensive option, but noise cancelling headphones have worked great at reducing or eliminating sounds on the lower end of the spectrum.

[These have saved my sanity more than a few times.] (https://www.amazon.com/Bose-QuietComfort-Wireless-Headphones-Cancelling/dp/B0756CYWWD/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1T9LQD1M2Z4IV&keywords=bose+quietcomfort+35+ii&qid=1557279527&s=electronics&sprefix=bose+quietcomfrot%2Celectronics%2C179&sr=1-3)

For a while Bose were considered the best in terms of noise cancelling prowess, if not in actual sound quality with earlier versions of Bose QuietComfort 35 (Series II) Wireless Headphones, Noise Cancelling with Amazon Alexa - Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0756CYWWD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_vwa3BbK2MK0TC Many people now (including myself) consider Sony to sound better and beat Bose in the effectiveness of noise cancelling. The current model is the Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones (30 Hours Battery Life, Quick Charge, Gesture Control, Ambient Sound Mode), Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07GDR2LYK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_9Aa3BbFVR5M35 however older versions (I own the mk2) are available for around £100 less.
There are also in-ear bud type which have slightly less noise cancelling power but still very effective. I wouldn't spend less than £100 as the quality and effectiveness will be poor but you don't have to spend quite as much as the 2 examples above to drown out the worst of child noise.

For study:

  • USMLE First Aid is probably the most popular book for studying for the boards (end of year 2).
  • Seconding the idea of noise-cancelling headphones.
  • Single-serve Keurig. If you want to buy her K-cups, the Green Mountain Nantucket Blend is my personal favorite. However, I hate how terrible K-cups are for the environment, so you can buy her a reusable filter if you want.

Hey Guys!

I am thinking of buying QC35 II. However, after a little research on amazon and community.bose, I have noticed that the major issue people have seems to be the bluetooth connectivity and for most people who complained it caused lags in audio. Does Bose have any plans to make any major changes in bluetooth? Would you guys suggest to buy QC35 II or wait for QC45?

I use the Bose QC over ear headphones and they're the perfect shape so that my ears don't touch the cups at all! My rook and helix have been happy with them :) I'd suggest going to BestBuy (or whatever your local tech store is) and trying out various display models to see what fits your ears best!

Blue Yeti is a mic you will see a lot of people talk about, including myself. I have one and love it. as for headset I'm using Bose Noise Cancelling headphones, they are a bit spendy but amazing, especially for shooters.

Camera wise, a Logitech C920 is an excellent choice, and not too expensive either.

u/yiwuhe · 1 pointr/headphones

A lot of people would recommend Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Bose QuietComfort 35.

u/SubjectYou · 1 pointr/aspergers

Here's what I think can help you. There isn't really a good solution for you that isn't hard to do. I got my own room over time by convincing my parents. There are some things you can do.

  • Get noise cancelling headphones and/or earmuffs and/or earplugs. These will MASSIVELY help with overwhelming sound. I recommend these. Active noise cancelling headphones are a bit expensive, but they are definitely worth it.

    $350 Bose QC 35

    $350, $298, Sony WH1000XM2

    $250 Sony XB950N1

$30 earmuffs - these are cheap and block out noise.

  • When your dad is not in his room, go to his room. When I had the loft as my room, I often took the laptop computer to my parents' room to use it. Although you can't bring your entire room there, you should bring things in your dad's room while he's not using it. If you can't do this, reply to me.

  • Convince your dad to switch rooms. This is harder to do. Figure out all the reasons why it's more important for you to have the bedroom. Tell him how Asperger's makes it incredibly difficult to even think without a room and if you do get a room, you'll be able to find a job and move out quicker. He doesn't need to have walls around his room just because he's the owner of the house.

  • If you have a therapist or psychologist, tell them about your situation and how bad it is on you and your mental health. It's not healthy to have auditory problems and be the one person who has to deal with a situation that would be bad if they have auditory problems. If you don't have a therapist, please get one as soon as you can.

  • This is the best solution but the hardest one to do. Move out. Find a job that's feasable to get (you have the requirements to get it and it's a job that wouldn't be torture for someone with Asperger's). I know this is hard, especially when you have no time to relax and feel fine. But once you do it, you'll be on a path to eventually be able to rent a space on your own. Maybe even find a relative or a friend that is willing to share an apartment or space with you as long as you get your own room. This will usually require you to pay a fraction of the rent of the space.

The advice is very hard to follow, so take it a step at a time. Get headphones or ear mufflers first which will be a huge improvement to your mind if you don't already have active noise cancelling headphones. Remember to get active noise cancelling headhones because they really block out the noise. Then try to start using your dad's room to do things, which will probably work. You're limited in what you can do in someone elses room, but your mind is more free. Then try to convince your dad to switch rooms, which may or may not work. If it doesn't work, tell a therapist or psychologist about your problem. I don't know the best advice for you, which is why you should see one of those professionals. The ultimate goal is to move out because that will really free up your life.

I still think it would be good to answer these questions. Are the auditory problems caused more by ambient noise or voices, or the feeling of having no barrier around you or something else or multiple things? Do you only live with yourself and your dad? Does your dad know and accept that you have Asperger's? Realistically, a lot of this advice won't work. Please reply to me with what happens when you try these solutions.

They're Bose knockoffs so don't go in expecting great sound quality.

What will you be using for a headphone amp? Just curious in case we need to leave room in the budget for that.

It might be down to personal preference so if you can get your ears on any of these headphones in person then that'll go a long way in making a decision. If I'm looking at this as my own $300 and I were looking to buy, I'd be interested in checking out the following pairs:

  • Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO (always wanted a 770 or 990 for myself)
  • HIFIMAN HE-400I or HE-400S (the S model seems to be lower impedance so would need a good amp to drive them)
  • Sennheiser HD 600
  • Shure SRH1440
  • Bose QuietComfort 35 (wireless and noise-cancelling)

See if you can check any out at your local electronics store. Might consider buying used or setting up a deal alert at slickdeals.net to get a good price.

Also, I already own a pair of M50's and they're very popular. Sits at about $150.
u/krs00pxy · 1 pointr/headphones

Budget: 200-350

Past/current headphones: ATH-M50x's for a few years.

Relevant features: bluetooth, noise-cancelling (not necessarily active... not sure how much of an advantage that is?)

Eyeing: Sony WH1000XM2's and Bose QuietComfort 35 II's.

Concerns: Not a significant improvement over M50x's. New upcoming models blowing current models out of the water -- M50x still works great so not in a rush to get a new pair.

Reason for purchase: Tech nerd, I like not hearing people (thus noise cancelling), bluetooth convenience, future-proofing for future phones/computers without 3.5mm jack 😢

I feel bad for you. If there are no other options, I suggest the Bose QuietComfort 35 ii - https://www.amazon.de/Bose-QuietComfort-Wireless-Kopfhörer-Standard-Schwarz/dp/B0756CYWWD. They're a godsend when you can't control your environment.

Russia is quiet, but I don't think you'll like it there otherwise.

As a temporary solution, soft foam in-ear earplugs combined with over-the-ear headphones (construction or noise-cancelling) bring the noise to more tolerable levels for me. When the inside of the ear get's too irritated, replace the in-ear part with soft silicone putty earplugs for swimmers. I usually use silicon putty overnight, and foam plugs during the day, because they have 10 dB better protection rating.

I think people become deafened by this noise over time and after that they can only scream.

Here is the setup I use. I never leave the apartment without them:

I hate sounds so here’s what I devised:

Musicians Ear plugs:

Pros: easy to hide, cut sounds well
Cons: uncomfortable for long periods of time, easy to lose.

Low profile ear muffs:

Pros: best thing for cutting all sounds, impossible to loose or break
Cons: not super comfortable with glasses, very obvious.

Sound cancelling headphones;

Pros; you can hear conversations super well but it blocks out the back ground sound, you can also play music to cut out all sound, socially acceptable, the most comfortable solution.
Cons: very expensive for good ones, they use batteries, they are fragile, they don’t cut out as much sound as ear muffs

I own all three of these. I wear sound cancelling her phones all day and at social events such as a diner or party since I can easily have conversations with them, I used ear plugs at fancy events or places that I don’t want people to look at me or ask me why I’m wearing ear protections (ear plugs are also tiny and great to bring as an emergency back up) and I wear ear muffs in class. I will link the best of all of these:

Sound cancelling I used, they are good but use aaa batteries instead of recharging them with USB: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M1NEUKK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_IbIHDb74TF6XZ

Sound cancelling of the latest and best technology (almost double the price but they are worth it if you have the cash): Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0756CYWWD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_7cIHDbGR2SXTV

Low profile ear muffs of high quality (they are on sale
Right now too!): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VWJL9LG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xeIHDb94GJN4V

Any “musicians ear plugs” will work but apparently these are the best ones: www.amazon.com/dp/B018WPOQSG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_YfIHDbZ20X0Q4

Sony has these.

Bowers and Wilkins has these.

And they all feature the temple-fold joint, which makes them incredibly compact.

I followed your (very helpful) advice about the settings, however it doesn't seem to be as loud as it should be? I have a pair of wire bose headphones and they sound louder and richer than the Arctis Pro Wireless does. I did some googling and I found an article that has you turn off the volume cap. I did that but it still seems on the softer side when next to the bose headphones; my wife has some quiet comfort II headphones that are bluetooth but are similarly louder- is this something I need to resolve through equalizer settings or is there something I'm missing? Regarding chatmix I see a spectrum between game and microphone but I don't see a means of turning off chatmix outright?

built-in amps options

  • skullcandy crushers for almost 2yrs now. the listening experience is crazy because of the built-in amp w/bass slider, great battery life as well. great for gym and entertainment. biggest downsides are; they break easily, get uncomf after a while. it gets even more insane with an external amp

  • qc35s is good for flights, noise cancelling removes that annoying engine noise, great sound quality as well and very flexible as well. around 20hr playtime but charges fast.

  • sony cheaper alternative to qc

other mentions (didn't try them, but was rec)

  • 630vb

  • [sonywh] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G4MNFS1?ref=emc_p_m_5_i)

some other decent options that work better with an amp

  • beyerdynamic nice sound

overall i recommend qc35, clear sound, wireless and nice noise cancelling option.

This is a $30 pair that I've used under ear pro. They get the job done but they aren't the most comfortable.

You could go big and get a $350, high quality overhear headset. I use these for at least 3 hours everyday and they're definitely worth the cost in my opinion.

EDIT: The $30 pair are also the exact same as the Beats Powerboats 3 another user suggested. The only thing that's different is the branding.
