Not op, but I also went from 280 down to my current weight in the 170's over a similar time span.
What worked best for me was replacing either breakfast or lunch with a protein shake (with added fiber to help feel full) and counting calories.
Weight loss is largely controlled by nutrition. My suggestion for anyone looking to change their lifestyle is to download an app like lifesum or myfitnesspal and record your daily calorie intake. After the first 3-4 weeks your body is pretty well adjusted and it's habitual from there.
Edit: For those asking, I used BSN Syntha-6. I'm not a nutritionist. Idk what protein powder is best for you at the macronutritional level, but this is what I used based on reviews/price. I personally prefer vanilla for versatility with blending in fruit/yogurt/etc.
Do you want to workout twice a day, for all 4 crossfit days? And also a single workout the other 3 days? Or are you saying just do P90X on those two days that you workout twice a day?
This is the protein powder I buy -http://www.amazon.com/BSN-SYNTHA-6-Protein-Powder-Servings/dp/B002DYJ1C4/ref=pd_sim_121_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=5150C9tKDIL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR128%2C160_&refRID=1GXXJGX9T6DX8AX5QDE3 - Tastes good, and mixed up well either on it's own or in a shake with fruit.
Not all - try Syntha 6 Isolate Vanilla https://www.amazon.com/BSN-SYNTHA-6-Protein-Micellar-Isolate/dp/B002DYJ1C4/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1523060882&sr=8-1&keywords=syntha+isolate+vanilla
Look online for deals on buying protein powder in bulk. Might find something good.
This isn't what I use but it is 80oz (5lbs) for $38.00.
