There's the GPD XD and the JXD s192. Shield portable is probably not a good buy today. For one, it's been discontinued for ages, but also, it only supports a fairly old GLES spec, which hurts its emulation capabilities (limiting N64 quality, and it can't play Saturn via uoYabause at all).

And tablets aren't necessarily out, as there's the Ipega PG-9023 controller and the CamRom Telescopic controller / BTC-938 / Saitake STK-7003, etc (it's got several names/brands).

I own both of those and they're solid gamepads. Here's my Shield tablet setup with the Ipega.

For further responses, I'd suggest defining what you would call "a fortune."

Gamesir g3s because they come with a wireless USB adapter for use on PC.

Just for phone, no USB support Ipega 9055 or CamRom:

I'm hoping Valve does something like this:

Telescopic controllers seem to be the ones that can fit around the sides of a phone / tablet, and overall can create a better form factor (imo) for gaming and portability than sticking a phone clip onto the top of a controller.

Nice! I've had the exact same idea, but my order of Ipega 9055 got cancelled, so I've had to order that, instead:

Someone in the comments of that said it's better built than the Ipega 9023/9055, so here's hoping.

What about the cooling capabilities of the GPD, does it take a hit?
