I have one of these that I use at my vacation home. It's air tight so it keeps cigar moist forever. Ugly as hell though, but I believe it would easily last a life time.

Adding to what he said - I permanently leave a big 62% boveda in the 5ct caddy so that it's always ready. Throw one of these arrows in your quiver, too, and you're all set.
Not entirely pointless. Some of the larger travel cases, that hold 40ish cigars do come with an air release valve. I've yet to see a 5-10 travel case wtih the same feature. I would assume there is minimal impact to the smaller cases due to their size.
