Another thing that I personally have never used, but a restaurant owner friend used to swear by is the rubber drain jet thingy...this thing. You take the grating off, and shove this in, and turn on the hot water. It seals up the pipe by swelling up, and then shoots out a large quantity of water. It's fantastic for pushing goopy stuff down the drain line. It sounds like you might have a mat of hair or some other thing (who knows...I dare not speculate) in your line.
