I picked up this one a little while ago based on the strength of the Amazon reviews (and to get free shipping on another item). The color theory & history section is okay, though I don't know how much you'll get out of it without having a little bit of a base already. Most of what I've read so far has been things I already know, so I don't know how well they're being taught. Most of the book is a collection of color swatches for different single pigment colors in various mediums. If that portion of the book is handy to you I'd recommend it. But if you're not interested in mixing oils, pastels, or artists acrylics then it's probably not what you're looking for.
