Excuse you, but I originally responded to IX_Hispana, not you, until you responded to one of my comments. My guess is that they are stumped by my arguments and are unable to effectively reply within the confines of their current view. I mainly responded to you because you're engaging in a typical "trans-critical" practice of erasing intersex people. I wanted to point out to you the intersection between transsex and intersex which you unsurprisingly evaded.

>is there even any analogous "intersex theory" out there?

Critical Intersex (Queer Interventions) is an outstanding anthology which questions popular views about physical sex being binary, similar to how trans people have been questioning the gender binary.

>Why do trans activists care so much?

Because I have been committed to feminism for over 20 years and I don't like seeing people who call themselves feminists spreading poor logic and myths about trans people. While I might not convince certain people, I'll still refute poor logic for others to see.
