sorry, laptop question.

Will i be able to unscrew this laptop's base and install this additional ram stick?

Ooh you can get the "this is bought together section which has an extra 4GB ram in it, or if you want an extra 8 on top of your 4 then this will work great

It is a lot cheaper to simply upgrade the RAM yourself. You can buy the a 8GB DDR4 2666 RAM for $33 and install it yourself. Upgrading the RAM is fairly simple. It typically involves using a Philips screw driver and you may need a plasttc prying tool (like a credit card) to gently pop plastic latches holding the bottom panel in place after removing the screws.

There are guides on Youtube that will demonstrate how to install RAM. It is unlikely there will be one for this specific laptop since it is new.

I'm doing the same thing and am curious what ram you are going to upgrade with? Are you buying a single 8GB stick or just buying two 8GB sticks? I am looking at this as a good upgrade option to add to the 8GB mine is coming with: https://www.amazon.com/Ballistix-Single-PC4-21300-SODIMM-260-Pin/dp/B06XC5BVJV/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1542735669&sr=8-5&keywords=8gb+ddr4+laptop+ram
