Sure happy I can help :-), I was recently doing some research and I most say the Dell XPS 15 - 9560 would be a great laptop for all your needs. It has a comfortable weight the design is amazing and here are the specs. An Intel Core i7-7700HQ X4 2.8GHz, 16GB, 512GB SSD,15.6inch and it comes with windows 10.

Like others have mentioned I would go with the xps, specifically this configuration because it comes with everything you need , i7 quad core CPU which is one of the best in the market and great for your usage, 16GB of ram for smooth multitasking, Good SSD storage of 512GB for faster boot up and loading, Full HD IPS screen which is a must have for this price range, high build quality, very good heat management, long battery life, 1050 GPU that should be able to handle the games you mentioned on medium to high settings with very good FPs, and it is within your budget.

I would go for an XPS 15 like this one with the massive 97 whr battery which will give up 8 hours of performance easily. It also has a very nice design, great performance power, excellent display, good build quality and it is not too heavy at all. It will handle programming and gaming well.

Thanks for the help! So I actually found this deal on an xps 15. Is it a good price? I like everything it has to offer

Edit: Formatted the link properly

Can you help check these links? I'm not from US and only bought once from Amazon. Also buying an XPS 15.

  1. Ships from and sold by Amazon BUT there is no stock and 3-5 weeks is kinda long. I need the laptop as soon as possible.
  2. Ships from and sold by BestComputers and there's 2 left in stock.

I'm not sure where to check the "fulfilled by Amazon" thing but I've checked the reviews of BestComputers and they seem legit but you can never be too careful.

    What do you think?
