Thinking this would take approximately a year as a beginner. I'm assuming there is a good bit of backstitching, but it does appear to reference Venice. If you are staying elsewhere in Italy, it may not be the perfect thing . . .

BTW, this would be pretty aggressive for a beginner. There is likely a good bit of backstitching and probably some french knots.
