Not the cable. The charger itself such as for Samsung phones or other quick chargers. Whatever is supplying the power is what can fry it. If your using any cable with your ps4 your fine. This is an example of a charger that you could use with your cable and fry the controller. https://www.amazon.ca/Charge-Anker-Charger-Compatible-PowerPort/dp/B016LO4UTA

Ah wait! Wait wait wait. My bad, forgot where i was. Thought you meant for your pixel phone. Hmm, check this link out by Medium. They'll recommend a 10w-18w charger. Anker sells a variety, so you should be able to find something that'll help. Amazon sells some, but be sure to scan reviews. Here's one that would work but was identified as STILL being too big - link. In it they say:
> I'm going to have to buy a charger with 3/4 to 1 inch of height/depth for my Switch.

Some things to consider. Hope it helps.

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B016LO4UTA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It says "Supreme Compatibility: Backwards-compatible with all versions of Qualcomm Quick Charge technology (1.0, 2.0 & 3.0). Also charges non–Quick Charge devices at up to 2.4A."

Hopefully safe.

It can really vary not only on the charger but the quality of the USB cable.

I got a Shield K1 a few weeks ago. I ordered the following charger and USB cables:

u/0ldGoat · 2 pointsr/Axon7

That seems a little long to me. The included charger died on me after five days and I'm using this as a replacement:

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B016LO4UTA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This past weekend it charged my phone from 0 to 100% in 97 minutes. I don't think that's any faster or slower than the included charger was, but it lived such a brief life I can't be certain.

u/deadsoulinside · 2 pointsr/nexus5x

>LG will decline to value my warranty

Where have you heard that at? Considering LG does not sell the chargers separately, 99% of any solution to charging (Car, Office, ETC) relies on 3rd party chargers.

Even Google themselves, don't sell a LG branded charger.. https://store.google.com/collection/accessories

I have tried to find a LG charger months ago before giving up and getting this charger https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016LO4UTA/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and a USB A-C cord.

u/NY_S · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I use this Anker charger and it charges my phone just as fast as my factory fast charger.

u/throwaway131072 · 2 pointsr/NoStupidQuestions

Any charger that can provide at least 1.5A will work. You could see if your device manufacturer sells official replacement chargers, or get one from a reputable 3rd-party accessory manufacturer like Anker. As long as it's not some $3 piece of garbage that will burn out after a few minutes of use, you won't have this problem.

Here's a link to one in the ~3A range, assuming you have a quality cable: http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Compatible-PowerPort-Wireless-Charging/dp/B016LO4UTA

u/Taidoboy · 2 pointsr/Xiaomi

I'm going to assume you did not buy a QC3.0 charger? I've been using this one. There are probably cheaper alternatives out there but that is very likely why it takes you so long to get a full charge.

u/christmas_ape · 2 pointsr/AndroidQuestions

So the Note 4 has Quick Charge 2.0, so I would make sure your charger is compatible with that. A search on amazon should find you a good charging brick that is capable of that, and also make sure the cable is capable of QC2.0 (most cables in the past few years are capable, but again if you get a cheap cable from the grocery store, probably not going to cut it).

u/Fents_Post · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS8

Anker branded cables and charging blocks are always a great option. Look for an Anker charger that supports fast charging. They also sell car chargers that support fast charging too.

Here is an Anker that supports quick charge: https://www.amazon.com/Charge-Anker-Charger-Compatible-PowerPort/dp/B016LO4UTA/ref=sr_1_5?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1492565368&sr=1-5&keywords=anker+fast+charge

u/c0nflagration · 2 pointsr/MotoX

I use the Anker PowerPort +1 with my Moto X Play and it works great. It's designed for quickcharge 3.0 devices but it's backward compatible with 2.0 devices (including moto x pure etc).

u/matrix2000x2 · 2 pointsr/Axon7

Here's the Anker QC 3.0 everyone's talking about:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016LO4UTA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_QGogAb1R47R4B

u/mattgoldey · 1 pointr/MotoG

I have the older version (no longer available) of this Anker charger. Works perfectly. https://amzn.com/B016LO4UTA

u/TheTVDB · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

I have this cable and charger and they've worked incredibly well:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016LO4UTA
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LNAAEJ2

I have an inverter in our car and was able to use the Switch (BotW) on a 7 hour trip without the charge dropping below 100%. Obviously works just as well when plugged into the wall.

u/Radun · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

My nintendo switch is arriving today while at work =)

But I was curious for charging the switch it uses USB-C? correct?

I would like to keep one at home, and then one with me at all times while travelling and maybe one at work so can charge.

Do you know if this adapter will work?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016LO4UTA

I use this for my galaxy s8+ and works well with a USB-C cable

Thanks

u/Wescyde · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

Look up snowkids USB-C (it’s the amazon choice cable) which meets the standard they recommend for resistors (56k)

I bought this adapter to plug

Quick Charge 3.0, Anker 18W USB Wall Charger (Quick Charge 2.0 Compatible) PowerPort+ 1 for Galaxy S7/S6/Edge/Plus, Note 5/4, LG G4, HTC One A9/M9, Nexus 6, iPhone, iPad and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016LO4UTA?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I been using these since August last year with no issues

u/Shajoeee · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

Is this powerful enough to charge the Switch (with the pro controller cable if that matters)

This is simply not true. The Asus Transformer T100 with Intel Atom SOC supports Quick Charge. Anker has a partial list of Quick Charge compliant devices that includes it. Look, see for yourself:

Google Nexus 6
Motorola Droid Turbo, Moto X 2014
Sony Xperia Z4 / Z4 Tablet, Z3 / Z3 Compact / Z3 Tablet Compact

As others have said try contacting LG.

Failing that you can get a good quality quick charge 3.0 charger realatively cheep.

u/boywithnoarms · 1 pointr/GalaxyS8

I bought this cable and this plug and have no issues with fast charging.

u/Biggie_Vii · 1 pointr/lgg6

Is this the one you're referring to? I'm interested in purchasing it, but am holding off bc I'm worried it won't quick charge my phone. I planned to purchase an Anker USB-A to USB-C cable to use with it too.

Do this particular adapter work fine with the stock LG cable that comes with the phone?

u/snake1118 · 1 pointr/lgv20

I use this anker qc 3.0 charger. Since i have around 20 microusb cables, I got Anker Usb-C to MicroUsb adapter and I haven't noticed any issues, charges fast and works well.

u/brooklandia1 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS8

I'm going to keep all the original accessories even the earbuds in the box to increase resale value.

I don't use fastcharge. Generally with rechargeable batteries a slower charge rate = more cycles, increased battery longevity, slower reduction in capacity. This def applies to 18650/14500/10440 LiIon cells used in drones, flashlights, vapes, etc.

So I like the Anker IQ series. Non Quick Charge:

[Upgraded] Anker 2-Port 24W USB Wall Charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LCDT7FC/

Quick Charge 3.0 version, I think this will work: Quick Charge 3.0, Anker 18W USB Wall Charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016LO4UTA/

u/larsstcop · 1 pointr/Ultralight

27w Aukey pd 3.0 starts around 70 gram / 2.5 oz, Anker around 100 gram / 3.5 oz.

To compare Anker QC 3.0 18w wall charger suitable for Anker Powercore II 10.000 mAh (190 gram / 6.7 oz) with a full recharge time of minimum 4 hours comes in around 70 gram / 2.5 oz. with no MFI lightning cable.

No free lunch.. but potential to save 2-2.5 hours charging your powerbank everytime you are in town :)

I've actually gotten in the habit of placing it face down until I get a case backing for it to make it so the camera doesn't bulge out any more, so I only see the bar when I pick it up to check on it.

I searched around amazon.ca for some equivalents that were still both highly rated and reasonably priced, and here's what I found:

Charger: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B016LO4UTA

Cable: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01JPEKJYI

Hope those are okay, feel free to search around yourself if you'd like. The Priv has QuickCharge 2.0, but pretty much all 3.0 chargers are backwards compatible anyway, and I got a 3.0 one just to future-proof. I also have one of those external batteries that I love, for travel days or busy days or something, and you can find great ones with 16,000 mAh and QuickCharge for less than $30 now if you don't already have one.

I'm glad you're starting to love the phone! I've warmed up to it as well, and not just because the battery doubles as a space heater under heavy usage.

u/GodoftheGeeks · 1 pointr/theNvidiaShield

I can't speak to the SD card but I have that case and love it! When it comes to the charger, based on recommendations I found on here and the nVidia forums, I picked up one of these and I couldn't be happier with it. The charging is incredibly fast with it!

u/soundman1024 · 1 pointr/blackberry

The Priv has a massive battery. Anker makes some great quick chargers that really make a difference. I'd recommend one at work and maybe a portable quick charger if your messenger bag/purse/backpack/whatever you carry. The Priv also supports wireless charging, so if you want a wireless charger on your desk that's an option, just make sure you put a hefty charger behind the wireless pad. I use a dock instead of wireless. Seems more functional to me.

As a side note, I kitted my portable charger out with 2x USB-micro B cables, a Lightning cable, and a micro-B to C adapter. Got sick of iPhone people always being dead and me saying I've got power if you've got a wire. Got the C adapter just to be inclusive. Haven't needed it yet.

u/gr00ve88 · 1 pointr/nintendo

that package is a ripoff... you can buy the parts separately from Anker and its $10 cheaper...and you get a second usb-C cable.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014ZO46LK/ref=psdc_7073960011_t1_B01G6SHOBC

and if you don't want the extra USB-C cable you can save another $10 by getting the wall adapter w/o the cable.
