I absolutely love my Zojirushi Thermos I don't fill it with tea, but rather use it as a hot water thermos so I can brew tea anywhere. It keeps water hot for hours. You can definitely use it to keep brewed tea in though.

I have about three of theses, got them as a gift. Very good, although the inner lid is a bit hard to clean after you let some coffee sit in there.

Hello,

Can you drink directly from the spout of zojirushi thermos ?

Thanks my dear redditors.

Recently purchased one after reading all the reviews on this sub.

So far I have only used it for hot tea. After 8 hours, I poured my tea in to my mug and it was still steaming.

No complaints as of yet. This is the one I got.

Just to add another testimony.

I don't like using thermos type things to keep my coffee warm throughout the day. Most brands are pretty terrible. They do a great job at keeping it warm, but I can always taste some sort of degradation in the flavor. Sometimes I even get a metal taste based on the brand.

However, just as others have said, Zojirushi is amazing. Like most people, I need a way to carry coffee out of the house and drink at work. Zojirushi is THE brand to get. I do not taste any degradation in flavor and I certainly don't have any metal taste. It also retains the heat better than anything else I've used and I've never ever had any issues with it leaking. I throw this thing in my backpack all the time and it doesn't even drip. I only carry the 16oz one but they do make a 32oz carrier.

I've had my Zojirushi "Tuffwide" for 12 years or so. Coffee will still be steaming hot 24 hrs later.

Looks like they make one up to 32 ounces, which is nice.

I'll drop some stuff anyways:

You're on a budget, so why not just look at what works: I figure you want to save money and heating water is a simple thing, there's all kinds of things out there... but I was in college just last year so I know how convenient it is to have everything come in a box from Amazon: I've never used one of these before, but 25 perfect reviews should say something... maybe? It's only $40 right now which is pretty low: https://www.amazon.com/Epica-6-Temperature-Variable-Stainless-Cordless/dp/B01G7OL9ZW/ref=sr_1_18?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1467067863&sr=8-18&keywords=electric+kettle&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011

Over time you'll realize how many different things can be introduced into the art of making one awesome cup after another, but for now it is best to focus on what you like and dislike and then go from there :)
