Rookie! I have to irrigate my ears about every 6 months or I start losing hearing and am in pain. I over produce. It’s a weird family trait. I use the Elephant Ear Washer at home. It’s awesome.

ETA: Make sure to use warm water. Hot or cold can make you pass out.

ETA: I use 1/4 peroxide and then the rest warm water.

NAD. If Debrox irritates you too much then try flushing with lukewarm tap water with some hydrogen peroxide added. You can use a bulb syringe or a purpose made product like this. They use the latter at a lot of clinics around where I live. If you don't have any luck doing it that way then it may be worthwhile to see an ENT or your PCP for regular ear flushes or suction removal of the earwax. If this is a recurring problem then they may want to see you every 3-4 months to help keep the wax from becoming an issue. If you have pain or irritation in your ear I would recommend seeing your provider to rule out infection or other underlying issues that you may have.

Thanks for bringing this up. It's not a common issue but it's not unheard of. Maybe we should be more proactive about telling people to avoid jumping after being congested. My ears clog with earwax annually, and if you have a similar experience I recommend you look into something like the ElephantEar system. Obviously talk to your doctor about it first, and certainly wait for any bruising in your ears to fully heal.
