To go with your Minis (good choice), consider these Mini Backpack mounts. They get the device off your counters and do away with the need for the cable. Plus, I've found that directing the sound out into the room vs upwards, sounds better. I have five of them. Some are low where most wall outlets are and two are up higher above counters.

Can you link the mounts your company is using? I mount my mini's directly to the outlet with a Dot Genie mount and it can be swiveled so the mount completely blocks access to the mic button. You could use adhesive between the mount and the speaker to make this permanent.
