Unfortunately, you’re not going to find much on this sub for less than $50.00.

You could look at the Magiforce 68 - it’s an excellent starter keyboard.

Drevo is also a good place to start. The Gramr is less than $50.00. The Excalibur is a bit more expensive, but it is also a nicer board.

Hope this helps, and GLWB!

It's not the best looking and it doesn't have Cherry switches, but would something like this do the job? It's way below your max budget and seems to fit the bill.

Well, for around 35$ there's the Drevo Gramr and Tyrfing

I have the red switches Drevo Gramr since I got an ebay $10 coupon for it and it's been quite good. I can't really compare it to top-brand keyboards because I haven't tried them, but I can confirm that it's been worth the purchase in my case.

DREVO but I replaced the keycaps with white ones

Drevo Gramr is pretty nice for a 75%. If you are willing to go a little heavier with Blacks, check out the Drevo Tyrfing. A Drevo Calibur is just barely over your budget, but you are getting a lot of bang for your buck.

Hrmmm budget gaming keyboard.... I like this one and use it daily:

https://www.amazon.com/DREVO-84-Key-Mechanical-Keyboard-Backlit/dp/B01K4GXJMA/

a little bit more than $35, but it's mechanical for good button mashing :)

There's a lot of cheap mech keyboards on amazon, even if they have RGB you can turn it off

this looks fine

I mean for your budget your not going to find anything crazy, and mechanical keyboards tend to last a good while regardless of brand

A good mini, super cheap too (but it is a mini, so it's a lil cramped for some)

Hello. I need a small keyboard since I have limited desk space and need more room for my mouse pad. I already have a nice mechanical KB on top of my desk I just need a small one for the inside tray. I was recommended this keyboard: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K4GXJMA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As it was both cheap and has a short length of 12.3 in. However, after using it for about 2 weeks the A key is no longer working properly. It doesn't register being pressed quite often, preventing me from strafing or moving left in video games until i hit the key a second time. This is unacceptable to me.

Should I return it for a full refund and get something else, or just replace it with another? If I should get something else does anyone have a recomendation for something 40$ or less and roughly 12" length? I can't really go over 12" much. I'd possibly go for 13" if it was a solid product. Looking for reds btw. Some kind of backlighting would be nice. Does not have to be RGB.

Would recommend DREVO 84-Key Gramr Mechanical Keyboard. Its what im using as of now while i build my first mech. They have a [87 key style] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1OGPM8/ref=pe_171930_244171850_em_1p_1_lm) as well.

Unless you are willing to spend about $110-120 on something with either MX silents or dampening foam, no keyboard is going to be more quiet than any other in that price range. Reds and browns make practically the same amount of sound, just don't get something clicky like blues.

Here's the Drevo Gramr as a starter recommendation. There's also something like the magicforce 68 which you can get with Gateron switches that are fantastic.

Lamp came in white. And the keyboard was just a quick buy on Amazon because I only had a gamepad I was using.

Hey Riccardo! I got my vortex race 3 over the summer with mx clears, and i'm really enjoying it, but one thing i didn't really notice when buying it is the somewhat weird key sizes for some of the keys.. for example the escape key in the very top left and the delete key in the very top right are both 1.5u instead of the regular 1u. So that's something you might want to think about. I guess it won't affect you if you don't plan on buying aftermarket keycaps, but when i bought keycaps for this keyboard i had to pay like 60 more dollars just for extra keys that would fit the abnormal key sizes on this keyboard. Here are a few similar keyboards with regular escape and delete keys to compare mk mk84, keycool 84, drevo gramr 84

I have big hands, I rip most gloves in half, not even lying it's happened too many times, and my 75 percent mechanical keyboard with red switches works just as fine my full sized membrane keyboard. There is no technical reason at all that big or small hands would perform more or less efficiently on full sized or reduced keyboards with normal typing My keyboard https://www.amazon.com/Drevo-84-Key-Mechanical-Keyboard-Backlit/dp/B01K4GXJMA/

Since Kira interested you, why not to purchase KBD75 from KBDFans or XD84 from KPRepublic? They have assembly services if you are not familiar with soldering.

Otherwise there is Drevo Gramr with the same layout. I've been using it and the only issue is stabs, they are rattly and loud. Overall it is good keyboard, definetely not the worst on the market.

If you don't mind 75% instead of TKL you can get the Drevo Gramr.
If you do mind, the Rantopad MXX is a good choice.
