The keyboard is a bit loud, but I like it a lot. Plus, it's pretty cheap for a mechanical keyboard. especially if you go with just the blue backlight instead of RGB.

Mouse

I have no issues with the mouse whatsoever. If you want more programmable buttons, you could always look at others. (I've always been a fan of Corsair mice, but Logitech has great mice as well.) You can program the color of the logo with Corsair's software to have a bunch of different effects, or stay blue since that's your theme.

Headset 1

This is the headset I've got and I absolutely love it. The sound quality is pretty good plus it's got a great mic compared to other headsets. I did link the refurbished one, though. I have a refurbished one and I've not had any problems. It isn't blue like you asked, but with everything else being blue I don't think it'll look bad since it's a neutral color scheme.

Heasdset 2

My friend has this headset and he thinks it's pretty good. I've never actually used it but he's happy. The mic quality is definitely a little worse and the blue cloth will eventually start to fray and rip. It is still a very popular and liked headset though.

Other people will probably have better suggestions for higher end gear, but if you buy all this you'll only be at around $160-$170, so you'll even have some money left over. Whatever you end up getting, I hope you like it!

u/alose · 4 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

At that price range, you are really better to buy new, as most any decent keyboard will be more than $50 used, and I would not trust any budget keyboard that was on the used market. And at $50, forget about RGB.

We highly recommend dropping the number pad and using a TKL or smaller keyboard. You are literally hurting yourself by using a fullsize if you are a right handed mouse user. Either you are putting undo strain on your shoulder by reaching far out to the right, or undo strain on your wrist my shifting your typing area to the left.

If you still want a fullsize in spite of our recommendations, then an Eagletec is probably the best option.

A Redragon, Tomoko, or Magicforce are probably the best in your price range. I would recommend the Magicforce over the others.

u/ForumPoster0p · 4 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

I'm looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard as my normal keyboard had a powerade related malfunction last night completely unrelated to my ability to hold a drink like a fully grown adult human being.

That being said my only "requirements" are that it is wired, backlit, and quiet. The gaming PC sits in the same room as the TV/living area and I do not want to click-clackety disturb everyone around me. Budget under 100$ preferably closer to 50$. Please help, I don't know what to look for. I don't expect premium or professional quality with my budget, just something that's a little more responsive than a normal board.

Edit: If someone doesn't help me today, I am going to buy this monstrosity: https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Illuminated-backlighted-KG010-EagleTec/dp/B015MPQQ0A/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1510840081&sr=8-7&keywords=mechanical+keyboard&dpID=51yVSxefYTL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

Unfortunately, I didn't take anyone's word for it here and I bought a Corsair K70 Lux RGB. I love this thing. Even if it's not what you normal mech-heads would love, I am in awe. I especially like the RGB and i thought it was kind of gimmicky when I saw it at first.

I have this Keyboard from EagleTec. 40$. Solid mechanical keyboard with Outemu Blue switches. It only has one back light which is blue in color.

Let me know if you have any questions

u/noroadsleft · 3 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Doubt you're going be able to fit both a keyboard and mouse in that budget unless you're willing to skimp on one or the other.

The Velocifire TKL01 is the cheapest backlit keyboard I know of at $30, but the word is the switches are terrible. The EagleTec KG010 is $40 and the switches should be okay. For $42 you could get a Plugable 87 which would be my choice at this budget (and tenkeyless is better than fullsize anyway).

You could skimp on the mouse (which is much easier to do anyway) which means being able to afford a better mechanical keyboard.

u/shadowstar2417 · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Not under $30, basically impossible to get a good keyboard for that much but you could get a Magicforce 68, or this one, they're both really good options for $40.

u/kschang · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

You need blue LED, black but about that price?

Tesoro Excalibur /w Blue switch $70 on Amazon

or really cheap...

Eagletech KG010 w/ Outemu blue switch $50 on Amazon

u/Mystifizer · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

Let us be real, it does, but it doesn't affect your gameplay nearly as much as the mouse.

For anyone that never used a mech keyboard in their life, I suggest you try one. Most common switches are red (linear, good for gaming, quite silent) and blue (clicky, loud, very satisfying to type on). I play FPS on a keyboard with blue switches without problem.

I bought this for my lil' bro : click!

He is super happy, and the keyboard feels good. No need to go over-budget with a 300$ Filco majestouch and stuff at first. Addiction to mech keyboards costs a lot more then addiction to mice. A LOT.

the one I use. Bought it on a deal though for ~20$

This is a mechanical keyboard, so it is really reliable, but a bit loud if you do not like the sound. I‘d advice checking those kind of keyboards out in a store first if you are not familiar with them.

I am probably very late for this but if you are buying a new keyboard get a mechanical. You can get some cheaper ones off amazon that still work great. Lighting is a lot of fun but to get RGB you are looking at a price tag of $100 and up, that said you can get a standard backlit for much cheaper such as this or somthing like this if you dont use the keypad. With mechanical keyboards you can change the keycaps to anything you like which is very cool, check out /r/mechanicalkeyboards for more on that.

Oh and there are different switches on different mechanical keyboards, they determin how hard the key is to press, if you hear a click, and if you feel a bump on actuation. The most common switches are MX cherry browns and MX cherry reds. Check this out for more info.

I realize i am most likely already too late but oh well

u/JR_Shoegazer · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I just have a simple question.

I'm building a gaming PC and I recently bought this mechanical keyboard: EagleTec KG010 Gaming

It's way louder than I'm used to coming from membrane keyboards and the travel/spacing between keys feels unnatural. I'm not sure I can get used to it.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good keyboard option for gaming in the sub $50 price range? Either membrane or mechanical as long as it feels good for gaming and isn't super loud.

u/Selrisitai · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

This is mine. It's coming in this Friday. I've been typing on my work keyboard, which is not a mechanical, but it has less mushy keys than the keyboard I am using at home.
Now that I am actually thinking about it, I realize just how mushy the keys are, and they are resistant too, not yielding easily to strokes.
I am anxious now to rid myself of this keyboard, even though it has served me well, and I really like the rubberized finish.
Excited for this Friday.

u/midnightfam · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Would you recommend this keyboard? It is a little more expensive but I like the look of it https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B015MPQQ0A?psc=1

u/BossFTW · 1 pointr/buildapc

If he can put up with not having red led's or would be willing to install them himself I can't say enough good things about this board https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B015MPQQ0A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have a nice corsair mechanical with brown switches at home and bought this one as a relatively cheap keyboard. It's built of good material, the keys come off easily if you want to swap them/customize them, and and it has a great heavy tactile feel.

u/Garfield131415 · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Is this a real mechanical keyboard? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015MPQQ0A/ref=pd_cp_147_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=GK3CR65AB363CGB3WXCS
if it is i might end up going with this one since i really like blue.

u/TOSensfan · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

This is what I'm currently using. I was in the same boat as you. My $15 keyboard I got 3 years ago was on its last legs and I came across this one. I've had it a month so far and no complaints.

u/Babbage78 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I got this one a couple months ago and couldn't be happier. It's almost a complete clone of the Corsair K series mechanical keyboards including the aluminum build but it uses aftermarket switches and is limited to blue LED. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in a mechanical keyboard.

u/MadmanRB · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Well then may i give you the following suggestions?

https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches-Customizable/dp/B01IRASQA0

This AUKEY keyboard comes up as highly recommended for those looking into mechanical keyboards for the first time and want RGB, in terms of quality control AUKEY seems to be also widely praised.

https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-K555-Redragon-illuminated-Equivalent/dp/B0171BSNYK

This is the keyboard I have, Redragon is also a well praised low budget mechanical keyboard company.
For me this keyboard is perfect, had it for almost a year now and by golly is it full featured and quite good to boot.
Redragon is certainly a good company from my research and so far so very very good.

https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Illuminated-Industrial-backlighted-EagleTec/dp/B015MPQQ0A

This one here actually has many color variations, Eagletec is a sub brand of Redragon so same rules apply... overall a good brand

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823201110

Rosewill has unleashed their own RGB mech keyboard at a great price with this one.
I have heard many great things about this keyboard.

As for any responses saying that cherry is the best mechanical switch and off brands are bad.... nope not these days.

Actually many argue the chinese knockoff switches are better than Cherrys current offerings.

KG010 + Wrist rest

You're basically paying more for flashiness than quality at this point but if that's what you want I'm not gonna stop you :p

u/InfiniteShadox · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Anybody have any experience with EagleTec? looking at this and the reviews are pretty hype.

  1. is this board or company shit?
  2. are there any other competitors at this price? must be backlit, rgb is best but we're talkin cheap here so if it had to be one color blue is it. slight preference for fullsize>TKL because fear of the unknown
  3. blue switches. don't care what brand I guess because the only one I've tried is whatever razer uses (not sure if before 2015 or not)

also what is the cheapest keyboard with responsive and location-based lighting? that is, NOT the entire board flashing, but something like a ripple originating at the keypress. this one must also be backlit at all times AND have some responsive lighting (is that what it's called?)

    thanks a ton in advance
u/lrawrl · 1 pointr/keyboards

I like the Qisan Magicforce as decent low-cost mechanical keyabord. The "60%" style version, (68 keys, no num-pad or separate F1-F12 row), which I am linking is exactly $60. If you want the larger full-size version, it's $70.

The EagleTech KG010 and the Redragon K552 KUMARA are both around $40 on Amazon and have many positive reviews, but I have no personal experience with them. All three of these keyboards use Cherry MX clone switches, so they have the same dimensions as Cherry MX switches, but the resistances of the keys are not exactly the same as official Cherry MX switches.

u/JamesDHalliday · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I am looking for a new keyboard. I am currently using an old Logitech Keyboard. I've started playing a lot more games recently and I would like to have a backlit keyboard for playing at night. My requirements are a bit tricky though:

  • 17" or less
  • Mechanical (Of course)
  • Backlit
  • Same/similar keyboard layout as current
  • Preferably less than $100 but I can be flexible.

Currently looking at this thanks to /s/kschang.

u/fouras · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

https://www.amazon.com/EagleTec-KG010-Industrial-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B015MPQQ0A

They're all fundamentally the same thing, so just get whatever color and lighting combo you prefer.

u/sneakytowelsuit · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I'm sure the enthusiasts at /r/mechanicalkeyboards will hate me, but I have the Mechanical Eagle Kg011, or something like that, from Amazon. Cost me 50 bucks with blue switches and blue LEDs, and I know they have it in black with blue LEDs. It's cheap, it's loud, and it is pretty well built.

EDIT: In particular, I was referring to this keyboard. Mine is the silver with white keys, and its treated me well the past few months. It's certainly very loud and clacky though, so be ready for that.

u/ythl · 1 pointr/buildapc

Yeah, I know, they are "mechanical feel" keyboards. I did end up finding one that met all the criteria

u/osheanman · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I am a high school student interested in upgrading from my Dell stock keyboard to something within my budget.

I am looking at this guide and I want to know if this board (an EagleTec KG010 Office) had standard caps so I could switch out the honestly terrible looking font.

If this board is no good in your opinion, I was also looking at this board (a Coolermaster Storm QuickFire Rapid) because I like the aesthetics of the TKL boards, and I have the same questions.

Any help I can get would be fantastic!

With love,

/u/osheanman

u/TheMetaMoss · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

The EagleTec KG010 is going to be a Prime Day deal today. I'm kinda interested, but I'm seeing reviews saying the keyboard being DOA or the keys not working after a short time. Is this a good starter keyboard, or should I look elsewhere?

u/Dolinare · 1 pointr/BulletBarry

Two real choices come to mind here:

This is a surprisingly good offering from Redragon, right around $35. They aren't Cherry MX switches so the quality control isn't going to be as good on them, but getting Cherry switches below $50 is difficult as it is.

Here's a pretty comparable choice from EagleTec. Again, build quality and consistency will be somewhat lacking, but that's kinda what you get from budget computer hardware in general. This particular one is just a little bit more than $40, but finding mechanical keyboards at that exact price point is somewhat difficult as it is.

I don't have any personal experience with either of these keyboards, and I'm not entirely sure about the reputability of either Redragon or EagleTec, but the reviews on both products are good, and Amazon has a pretty decent return policy just in case the product just craps out on you.

u/currious181 · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I need the 10key for work, so I know that will cost me a bit more. And I thought about getting a tester, but it's about the same price as some cheaper boards on Amazon & feel like it would be a waste of the budget. Maybe I'll try something like this and return it or resell or if I don't like it, I didn't even think of that to be honest...
Edit to fix link: (this is from one of the guides on here) https://www.amazon.com/EagleTec-KG010-Industrial-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B015MPQQ0A/?tag=b3J7sB2xVOf2-20
