It goes pretty in depth into the themes while breaking the story down into chapters for analysis. The author also has a book that analyzes Oblivion, if you're looking for more.
There's this study of Infinite Jest. I haven't read it, though, so I can't speak to its quality.

Re-read Infinite Jest with Elegant Complexity by Greg Carlisle. It really makes it that much better.
While Infinite Jest definitely isn't a, "just pick up and read," type of book for the beach or an airplane, I do highly recommend giving it a shot.
It is an immensely difficult, but also immensely gratifying work that rewards focus, close inspection, and deep engagement. It has an extraordinary depth and elegant complexity that challenges you as a reader to connect rather complicated, disparate, episodic plot threads, and to navigate shifts through multiple chronologies, locations, and narrative perspectives.
The themes are complex, but not complicated (complex vs. complicated), and are expressed from the surface level of outright explanation to in-depth symbolism. Dealing with addiction, compassion, community, depression, earnestness, irony, entertainment, and everything in between, Infinite Jest paints a perfect portrait of 21st century American life, and I guarantee you will find it to be both comforting as well as disturbing.
For 1079 pages you'll have the profoundly moving experience of having someone acutely describe, with crystal clarity, your thoughts and feelings better than you could do so yourself.
