Just to inform you. They are not really a laptop manufacturer as such- they can be better called assemblers as they don't build the parts they use..They instead use Clevo chassis/ case that are known globally for their durability and install processor, motherboard, graphics cards, display panels etc followed by installing important software and programs such as OS, drivers etc.. The high ratings on Amazon will tell you a lot about how people view them as a company. They are also known for their very good customer service and quick delivery of ordered systems.

As for the N850HK1 Pro It will do a decent job in gaming.. It has a little weaker GPU than the Helios has, but match it up in all other departments..In fact, it has a better display, keyboard, heat management and build quality as well as it's design being more neutral ensures that your laptop can be used in all different environments.

This laptop has a adjustable keyboard with rgb coloring, along with a professional non gamer appeal. Good specs for the money as well, 1099 tax included. One thing is that the headphone is also on the right which sucks but otherwise it performs well. The brand name may scare you away but it is a really good brand with us based support.

I just ordered a 1060 with 7700hq for 1100 on Monday.
Its from a brand i had never heard of but they had great reviews and great prices. I was on the fence between the Eluktronocs laptop or the Predator but i went with this one because it looks more professional.

the recommendation earlier is actually a good option but should definitely check out this Eluktronics N850HK1 which come with basically the same specs but with a better IPS display, and more ssd storage which will be needed for programming. it will run all your games mentioned on decent settings without hiccups because it comes with a powerful 7th gen i7 quad core cpu, 16 gb of ram, a nice 1050ti gpu and 512gb ssd. the built is also pretty decent and the battery life isnt bad.

I would recommend this [Eluktronics N850HK1] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N7YTLD0/?tag=bkadamos_alltest-20) because it comes with everything you need, 7th generation, i7 quad core CPU which is one of the best in the market and great for your usage, 16GB of ram for smooth multitasking, good SSD storage of 512GB for faster boot up and loading, 15.6 inch Full HD IPS screen which is a must have for this price range, high build quality, long battery life, very good heat management, and backlit keyboard.

Hi,

I hope this helps: for photo editing you'll need a good display - sRGB over 80% - it's about the monitor color coverage - the higher sRGB the better.

Keeping that in mind and your requirements I have made this noteb search - i have searched directly for 16 GB ram - your budget allows it.

You can see and change the search parameters using the "Refine results" button in the upper-left part of the search results page. You can also click on the laptops for more information.

From my point of view you have two options: Clevo N850HK1 vs Asus ZenBook UX430UN - the first one has a more powerfull CPU - i7 - 7700HQ, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti , LED IPS 262K colors, 90% sRGB, up to 4 SSD/HDD and up to 32 GB ram (DDR4) - the second one is lighter, made of aluminium, 16 GB RAM DDR3 (I see that it has 1 memory slot, it's not soldered), weaker GPU NVIDIA Geforce MX150 Max-Q but better display LED IPS, 262K colors, 100% sRGB and slightly better battery life.

There is also the Asus ZenBook UX430UA (2018)(US) same as the one above only with integrated CPU - wins in battery life.

https://noteb.com/?model/comp.php?conf0=12725360103932999680_410&conf1=8291625432564548387_1322&conf2=17280960869589999616_1486&conf3=10089955115330000896_1297&ex=USD -comparison between the three models I suggested you and the LG Gram - I see the LG has two memory slots -theoretically you should be able to upgrade it (RAM wise) and I see it has a great display - 262K colors, 100% sRGB - maybe you should go for it...

All of them are in your price range - Clevo - 1100$ - amazon, Zenbook with GPU - 1140$ amazon, LG Gram - amazon - 1050$

If you want a laptop to last you more years that has the possibility of upgrading i'd go for the Clevo, I know it's bulkier but has the best specs (CPU, GPU) and has lots of space for upgrade (SSD and RAM) but if you want something lighter go for one of the Zenbooks or LG.

I'm looking for something similar in a slightly higher price range. Priority is portability and a professional look. This is what I came up with so far.

Also the Gigabyte Aero series looks amazing, but it's well outside my price range. The cheapest I could find is $1200, open box, last year model.

For something a bit less powerful, maybe look into the Asus P2440 for $1000. It's a 14.0'' that has okay specs and would likely work fine for your needs, but isn't quite as powerful as other options in your price range. It comes with a Dual Core i7-7500U processor, 12gb of ram, 512gb SSD and a GTX 940MX dGPU. It also has a 1080p display, weighs in at 4.3 lbs, and has a battery advertised up to 18 hours.

For a more powerful, yet still budget option, look into the HP Pavilion 15 for $850. It has a very sleek appearance and is more portable than other options at 4.8 lbs. It also has a Quad Core i5-7300HQ processor, 8gb of ram, 1TB HDD and a GTX 1050 dGPU. The 1050 dGPU is much more powerful and it's CPU will outperform the Asus by quite a bit. It weighs in at 4.8 lbs, and has a battery advertised up to 9 hrs as well.

For a more powerful option that isn't quite as sleek, maybe look into a 15.6'' Eluktronics for $1050. It comes with a Quad Core i7, 16gb of ram, 512gb SSD and a GTX 1050 Ti. Even more powerful option, but on the bulky side and with a pretty poor battery life.

Finally, maybe also look into a New Open Box XPS 15. It's an extremely well reviewed 15.6'' that is known for it's great portability, build quality, and display. You can only find new open box / refurbished models in your price range though. It weighs in at 4.0 lbs, has a GTX 1050 dGPU, a quad core processor, and a 1TB HDD. It also has a pretty good battery life.

Is it ok if I go over a bit with your max budget because this laptop is definitely worth it.I am talking about the Eluktronics N850HK1 it has a really great display and the over all specs is amazing for the job that you want it to do. I love the Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad Core processor that it comes with, deals with all the music softwares you have listed and more .When looking at gaming on this machine a 4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is exactly what you want to have, this graphics will run Witcher 3, skyrim, lol etc in high settings without a problem. As I said eariler I have looked into the display and the 15.6inch Full HD IPS Display is brilliant :-). Built quality is great and 512GB Performance SSD + 16GB DDR4 RAM excellent, also nice battery life.

The Dell XPS looks nice and clean but its processor will not manage the load as well as a laptop such as the Acer Predator Helios 300

  • Display 15.6" Full HD IPS 1920 x 1080
  • Processor: Intel Core i7
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1060
  • 16GB DDR4
  • 256GB SSD (HDD can be added for extra storage)
  • Weight 5.95 lbs
  • Battery life 6 hrs

This laptop gives you the best value for money and will manage all the work you throw at it easily

As gaming is not important you do not need the best graphics card out there a the. The Eluktronics Pro and this version can be picked up for under 1200

  • Intel Core i7-7700HQ Q
  • 4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
  • 15.6” Full HD IPS
  • Display 512GB Performance SSD
  • 16GB DDR4 RAM

Hi, could you please tell me the difference between these laptops?

Eluktronics N850HK1 Pro

HP ProBook 440 G4

MSI GL62M 7REX-1067

PROSTAR Clevo N855HJ

ASUS 15.6" 4K/UHD ZenBook Pro UX501VW-DS71T

I found most of those using your website. These all hit on the technical specs I need in my original post. My biggest thought right now is 1) battery life; and 2) matte screen. I don't know what the battery life is on any of them since they're not advertised. Knowing that, would love to hear your opinion on which one you think would best suit my needs and why and/or which one you would choose.

Thank you - I'll make sure to use your affiliate links upon decision.

u/darkrash2k · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

Thank you so much! I'll consider my options, especially this one.

Right now i'm looking at

The Aero 15: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834233205

Eluktronics N850HK1 Pro: https://www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-N850HK1-Premium-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B01N7YTLD0

The Dell Insipron 5000 series: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-Gaming-i5577-7342BLK-PUS-Traditional/dp/B06XFC44CL

And the Razer Blade: https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-GeForce-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B01N4P5HKV/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499050541&sr=8-1&keywords=razer+blade+full+hd

I'm leaning toward the Eluktronics N869HK1 Pro, what i'm worried about is that though it has similar specs to the Aero 15, what makes it ~750 dollars less?

u/Shiiiv · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

I see. I am looking taking but this but people commented that I don't need an i7. They said I can make it with this pc or this or this pc which one would you say would best for the games I want play and the thin and weight?

u/Gthang119 · 1 pointr/laptops

thanks for the advice... so I did a little bit more research into the eluktronic laptops and came across these two:
https://www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-N151RD1-Premium-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B01N7YTLD0/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8&th=1
this one does not have a 1tb hdd but it has an empty storage slot for it. I also saw this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VSNRZ7M/ref=psdc_13896615011_t2_B01KZ6BKL6?th=1
this one has a 2TB SSHD. the ram I will have to upgrade but my question is should I avoid the hybrid drives or is this type of drive fine to get. I mean it does have an extra slot for another drive but what is your opinion on the hybrid drive?

u/HEROxDivine · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

A better deal:

https://www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-N850HK1-Premium-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B01N7YTLD0?

No sales tax, while the Dell will be around $50-75 cheaper after taxes.
