You should make a separate post for this on this subreddit. If it was stripped then chances are that it would at least move, just not the way you would want it to. Maybe the answer to your problem is a longer wrench? Maybe something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LX4NIFK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . I've never done this, but maybe also spraying a little WD down around the plug and letting it soak might also help?
