##Audio

KEF LS50W Nocturne A special-edition of the KEF LS50W which itself is an upgrade of the famed KEF LS50, sitting on IsoAcoustics Aperta 200 aluminum speaker stands (Amazon).

Sennheiser's HD800S, headphones ubiquitous in the audiophile world for its accuracy, precision, and speed;

The ZMF Auteur (African Blackwood Special Edition) with the ZMF Silver Michanikos (African Blackwood) cables for that nice aesthetic. These headphones are more engaging than the HD800S and sound incredible through tubes.

The headphones sit on two Fire S Audio headphone stands

The IEMs I use are the Campfire Andromeda CK Pacific Blue Special Edition, one of the most vaunted audiophile IEMs for their incredible tonality and detail

The solid-state DAC/amp is the JDS Element with a custom engraving (free) - I love the knob on this thing

* The tube amp is the Bottlehead Crack with the Speedball upgrade

aaand that just about covers the gear in the picture.

Your setup it awesome!

I have an ultra-wide monitor with a stand like that and it just eats up desk space. Do yourself a favor and get a monitor mount. I have this and I absolutely love it. Extremely sturdy clamp, completely metal design, and very affordable for the quality. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008TYF0F4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I agree the stand sucks. I am using the Ergotech freedom arm. Its very nice. =)

Thank you :-) I realize now that I completely left it out of my parts list. It's the Ergotech Freedom Arm.

I swear by Ergotech Freedom and Freedom HD arms. I have a HD and holy crap, it has so much tension I have it all the way down and my 34" Asus ROG is still standing up more than I'd like it to.

Build quality is stellar, and way heavier duty than the $40-70 equivalent cheap gas springs I've used (Still using a cheap one and it sucks but its secondary)

Note that the Freedom HD = "Heavy Duty", it was designed to hold up iMacs and AiO's (All in One's) so yeah it REALLY holds up.

Can't really justify anything else anymore, this thing is too nice. Desk clamp is really nice too. Plus I like its' extended arm length and I pull my monitor in and out by a difference of approx. 2 ft too because I vary from standing up at my desk to leaning back (reclined) and pulling it towards me.

EDIT Here is a video demo of it

For my X34 which weighs 16.XX LBs, I got this mount, which works amazingly, though you'll have to tighten the spring to hold it up, afterwards it'll be secure wherever you place it, it also has little clips for cable management which is nice.

If you have a monitor that is heavier than it's max weight (17.8lbs) then there's the heavier duty mount which supports up to 30lbs. I love the Ergotech with their sleek look on your desk!

The Freedom Arm by Ergotech is one I've seen mentioned a few times, apparently has a full extension of 26.7" - Link

I have an x34 and had this arm that failed after about 2 weeks. Switched to this ergotech arm and I've had it for about 2 months. Works great and isn't even fully tightened.

edit: fixed link to ergotech arm

I found this model on Amazon for 80.07 with free shipping. Bonus: it has a cool paint job.

I have a Ergotech Freedom Arm for each of my monitors and it works great for moving twisting, tilting, etc to position the monitor however you want it.

For the monitor and a wall mount for the tv. Let me know if you want to know that too.

u/obikatsu · 1 pointr/buildapc

The monitor arm? its called the Ergotech Freedom Arm

u/wish_i_lived_in_cali · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

I have the AW3418DW and a IKEA Karlby desk as well. I used to have this monitor mount for my 24 inch monitor and 29 inch uw, but I will be upgrading to this monitor arm for the 34 inch uw and use the VIVO vertical mount for either my 24 or 29 inch monitor.

The VIVO vertical mount should be able to handle the weight of the Alienware and another monitor, but I don't want to risk going over the mount's weight limit.

Other than that, you can look at the VIVO options. They have quite a few <$50 with mostly positive reviews.
