Better quality products!! TIGI makes a really good dry shampoo, minimal smell. My absolutely favorite though is eva nyc it smells like a nice perfume (definitely not like old lady perfume!!) BUT the smell definitely fades after about an hour.
Using a good quality conditioner will help keep your scalp from over-producing oils as well. I swear by pureology, and they make many different products for different types of hair. Look into which one sounds right for your hair, and buy a travel sized bottle at Ulta!
