We got the Evenflo tribute, because it had a little more padding than the Cosco. Very cheap, fairly easy to install. We have some difficulty with getting it level in the car. It's super light.

But let's be honest here, they probably wouldn't bother even if they were cheaper than that. It's not about the money so much as the personal effort to get one, fit it and use it and this lady does not strike me as the sort of person to make much of an effort at anything.
