The concept of Psychic Profit elucidates the internal logical relations of Human action. It was never meant to provide a cultural theory of why Humans value any given action in the way that they do (ex. why the affectation of "Gravitas" was sought after by ambitious Roman politicians, or why Germans exhibited a sense collective guilt over the holocaust), and to call it underdeveloped or especially unsophisticated on that account is to misconceive its scope.

Psychic Profit actually predates Rothbard and runs back to at least Mises if not further, and as such is less an Anarcho-Capitalist idea than it is a natural extension of Austrian economics to other facets of life. The a priori rational choice theory on which much of Anarcho-Capitalism is premised can be used to lay the methodological groundwork for normative cultural descriptions if infused with external modes of thought- Envy, Facial Justice, the Anti-Capitalistic Mentality, and Economic Backwardness in Historical Perspective are all academic examples of this- but is itself insufficient for the construction of a theory of culture in the sense that Classic-Liberalism has one.

In summation, Ancapism doesn't and probably will never have a unified theory of culture, but cultural observations from an Ancap perspectives can still be made using the ratiocinative epistemology on which it is premised.
