Easypename's comments are fairly right on. One's 'real' life is a tool that is utilized when reacting and proactively trasversing the terrain a character goes through from curtain to curtain. But, in the meantime . . . In the words of Ian McKellen -- "Acting is Pretending". So why not try approach class from the point of view of someone who isn't shy? Take on a character of someone who is fearless and willing to risk. Who doesn't 'self monitor' every second of every day and self judge. Perhaps what I am trying to say is develop a backstory different from your own - and step into THAT person's shoes whenever you 'act'. https://www.amazon.com/Fearless-Acting-Moving-weakness-strength/dp/1546726152/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=%22fearless+acting%22&qid=1564148803&s=gateway&sr=8-1
