You can buy the pen on amazon for pretty cheap.

I would return it or cancel your order if you can...they can be had for significantly lower. Here it is on Amazon.ca for $65 CAD. Here's another site that has it for $30 USD (roughly $42 CAD) although I'm unsure of shipping costs.

Fisher AG7. Takes the Space Pen refills but it's a solid metal body with nice heft and a fun open/close mechanism to play with.

Fisher Space Pen refills come with an adapter that fits on the back so that they can fit into any pen that takes Parker-style refills. So you have lots of options if you'd like to go that route.

Or, if you'd like pens that are designed for the Fisher Space Pen refill specifically, here are some options:

Was there some other pen talk going around recently? Because I was just looking at https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Space-Original-Astronaut-Pen/dp/B0015ZP2AC

Fisher AG7 on Amazon Warehouse.

This one is $27.48 right now. Used, but very good condition.

The two pens I would recommend are both ball points, but you can buy hybrid ink cartridges for them:

  1. Fisher Astronaut Pen
  2. Parker Jotter

    Schmidt makes hybrid ink refills:

  3. For the Parker Jotter
  4. For the Fisher Space Pen

I agree with a nice pen. My personal favorite. There's many different variations and styles. But these pens write on anything in any condition. Just gotta make sure you keep tabs on it because people like to try to walk off with it.

Have you tried the AG7? I have one and I would be very surprised if it could be bested. I have heard great things about the Pilot Vanishing Point though.
