It's utterly fascinating, and goes into the biology (basically compacted whale shit and intestinal goo caused by inflamation from the squid beaks sperm whales eat) to the business side with dodgy mafio type market cornering and perfume industry clandestine use with formal denials. Great read.
You should read Floating Gold if you're interested. The best part is, whenever someone asks you what you're reading about, you can say 'ancient putrefied whale shit.'
